more thoughts,

zach really hammered in that marcus was gay it seemed. shopping for fruity pebbles in the store, his husband and himself about to share 6 hotdogs, the campyness that his husband showed when gladys burst into their home. kinda on the nose with that

kinda weird that gladys whether intentionally or unintentionally looks like a clown, and her last moments were pretty damn comedic with her running from the kids in the neighborhood... i mean until her gruesome demise.

gladys has to be old as shyt based on that cosumption line, so her pied piper ass has probably been making kids disappear for a long ass time. modern technology must have been kicking her ass with cameras and info being passed around in the blink of an eye. so she was probably on borrowed time one way or another.

ive seen a few people assume that alex being able to use the blood magic means that the magic is in the tree, but it makes me think that alex is the reasoning behind gladys being in town all together. through observation he replicated that spell with ease, and it makes me think her true goal was to take the kid and use him to continue helping her

As far as the boy

when those kids entered the house didn't he have on a superman shirt? If so then I'd say you are correct

That future school shooter was calculated and shrewd scoping out his classmates belongings:picard::lupe:
I definitely feel there's an element of this in the film. Not much but the innuendo is there.
even had an element of Charlie Kirk irony in this

I thought the move was cool for the most part. I came in hating when starting it since they used the based on a true story tagline and nothing in the movie was remotely true. Not the supernatural stuff or anything like that obviously. I had thought it would have been inspired by a true story about some kids disappearing only for the director to say it was just based on his feelings of grief after someone close to him passed. The movie The Strangers did the same thing, but at least it had a moment that actually happened, when the girl knocked on the door :russ:

Movie was good, just didn’t need the cheap marketing tactic.

is there ozark merch? or did have that made in order to troll her?

he did that so effortlessly too. its the only reason i could imagine her picking that family, and she only psychologically hurt that boy, not physically like she had no problem doing anyone else

6/10. This is another of Longlegs, in that both are overhyped & relied on marketting to push false hype. The cinematogtaphy was great but that's about the only positives I can give. The movie didn't know if it wanted to be horror - thriller, sci-fi, supernatural & by the time it decides, its execution is poor. Aside from motivation - need to feed to survive - absolutely fukk all about the villain made sense. Are they real relations, what made them return now, was she going to leave the kids, how does her spell break work, claimed the father suffered a stroke but what about the mom, how did the families reconcile the kids murder. I love horrors and this did fukk all for me as we know they why not the how. Edit - Longlegs > Weapons.

Man i finally decided to watch this after the hype died down and managed to stay away from spoliers.

The whole time im asking how dumb are the adults in this town and then the ending turned into a comedy :mjlol:. there was one scene in the basement that actually got me to jump. i enjoyed the characters and atmosphere. ill give it 7/10 just because i like withcraft

Finally got to this. I really fukked with it.

Reading through the thread and cats asking how in a movie about a witch that casts all types of spells that had 17 kids leave from home and run to a house at 2:17 in the morning and could make someone essentially an attack dog with just a lock of someone's hair, that it was unrealistic for a 3rd grader to feed 19 people soup everyday.:russ:
