Why are we fans of this team?

I know why, I tried to make an Exodus to another franchise at various times including the Cowboys and the Bears (because I knew people on the team) and it wasn’t the same.

Something about the Vikings has me locked in for life. Maybe it is some sort of subconcious masochism smh.

Vikings were 11 and 5 that year and they limped into the playoffs going 2 and 3 in their last 5.

This team was way different. They were on fire going into the playoffs and the 2000 defense was trash and had been giving up big points and yards all season as opposed to this year where we had the best defense, statistically, in the league. Moss also broke his ribs on the 1st qtr of that game and was playing on planter fasciitis the entire season. We weren’t supposed to win in 2000.

I’d say this one hurts more because our defense got exposed.
