close minded idiot.
And I said Less popular artist

I remember CD’s back in the day would have the lyrics inside and for R&B albums it’d have the song and then for the rappers part it’d just say [Rap]Moved from getting a verse from rappers to just singing hooks for em.
What you say is true about the consumer market adopting to what’s “hot” in the streetsThese video essays always have some clickbait shyt to them. It's really about the state of male R&B specifically and why none of them are dominating the charts like in the past.
R&B is not dead and male R&B is not dead but ppl have to realize we are dealing with a consumer base who's rappers now sing and are the "heartthrobs"(no matter how hideous). Rappers have taken the lane R&B singers once had. Maybe it will cycle back but only time will tell.

Open up spotify and listen to RapCaviar for twenty minutes then tell me hip hop isn't dead. I love hip hop but the latest shyt doesn't cut it.It’s really not lmao Hip Hop is still the #1 genre so it can’t be dead, it may not be what you like, hell I’ll go as far as to say it’s stagnant right now but that doesn’t mean it’s dead.

And he wrote most of Renaissance.you know who was fire? The-Dream…
I was listening to that nikka the other day and his shyt is just fire. That’s the only way I can describe it. He ain’t the best singer, his music isn’t the biggest hits or the best songs…..but it’s just so fire.
I didn’t appreciate him while he was with us

I agree. Not necessarily just R&B but black masculinity is dead in Harlem.
