Well, I May NOT Get That Job That I Was "Led To Believe" That I Was Getting (Should I Be Worried?)

So, this week went smoothly and some of last week. Noted, there are 16 Mexicans that work in the labor unit and the shipping office is filled with Whites. Only three guys NOT incliding me (temp dude) is Black. So, today the assistant to the White guy gets a little upset at me for no reason. He told me to go over there with the Mexican guys. I did that and tried to plug up the machine like I always do. The guy said not right now. When the assistant Mexican guy sees me he gets a little furious and tells the foreman. Foreman dude mocked it a little and didn't get furious. Now, I get up 3 AM this morning as always to go there. They knock us off at 10 AM because of no work.

I'll be honest, ever since I asked how many hours I had and it was close to 400 (480 is needed to get hired) sh-t's been getting weird. The crazy part is is that they acted/led me to believe that they were going to hire me. They showed me how to turn on and off the machines and said once I got permanent I'll be working with such and such.

So, I was led on to believe I was going to get something that I wasn't going to get :snoop: Also, the latest dude that they hired CAN'T speak a lick of English. Is it me overreacting or do I have a right to be concerned? I've been told that my work ethic is up to par and etc. Every job I've held I've received a good letter of recommendation. Granted, on that job temps came there high and cursed one dude out. Not me :jawalrus: This week a dude even gave me a ride to the temp place that's a permanent (black breh). I'm confused.

Never again will I take anyone's word if it's not on paper. I had EVERYTHING ready from my direct deposit slip to give the company I was gonna work for to my finances. Everything and etc I had prepared may have been over false promises and pretenses. Dirty azz sh-t man. My father even told me (he's a foreman) that I may have been led on and I believe him. He's been in the construction business for 40 years.

Everything that I'm asked to do I do it and don't have a temper. Some workers are on their phones when it's against policy not me.

I think most of the black men on this THREAD including myself TRIED to tell you and you really thought we were :duck:

I won't get on here to shame you as you just got a nice subtle N.W.U.C (nikka Wake Up Call):umad:

Perhaps next time you will listen :sas1: or perhaps not. :sas2:

:patrice: A long time ago, my mentor gave me some advice..
That after I had cleared probation (6 months), and proven my competence at the position I was hired to fill
..that I should "go into business for myself"
And basically.. part of the time do what was expected (the job)
But otherwise, I should do whatever I think should happen (go crazy)

To make a basketball analogy..:troll: word to @iBrowse
If my role was to play physical defense and rebound (one dimensional).. okay, that's cool
But if I had an outside shot, I should start unleashing some 3s..
If I had quick hands, I'd go to strip the ball for a quick steal
Maybe start making arvydus sobonis style passes.. or fast break
Rip down a rebound and throw a three quarters length of the court pass to a streaking teammate.. whatever

The point is..
I'd be trying to change the whole team's dynamic
Bringing my own influences to what we do

And by doing this, I'd either..
1) be recognized as a multi dimensional star
2) establish a new niche that makes use of my skills (highest use dimension)
3) or be waived/traded/benched

If waived, I could always get a second chance just doing the original one dimensional role .. because role players are always needed (and recycled)

The point.. establish your credibility.. then challenge the environment including the people in it

Much easier said than done,, :whoa:
just establishing your credibility can be exhausting
But it was necessary..
Otherwise, you are just some random goof fukking up basic tasks
aight can't keep wifey waiting :shaq2::lolbron:
