Why? They’re the ones who came up with enhanced UI and fought to extend it. Most places are reopened and there are jobs sitting vacant, there’s no justification for extra UI at this point, jobs are there waiting for people. maybe if we shut down again it’ll be put back on the table - both being unlikely.

Not only one state. All states that will see federal benefits end week ending Sept 4th can continue distributing unemployment benefits from an almost 300 billion fund that hasn’t been exhausted. Obviously, if you’re in a red state, you’re shyt out of luck.

Bruh many of the republican states already ended the extra 300 months ago. Still a bunch of "now hiring" and empty jobs everywhere. It really seems like with or without that Unemployment, people are off that low pay job shyt. Trying to buy something at a fast food restaurant right now is gonna take years in the drive through waiting.

Unless we see another lockdown I'm not sure the extension is needed. I do think we will see even more cases now though since these people will reenter the workforce.
