What qualifies as chicken change these days though? The jobs I've been applying and interviewing for have all started at $17-20 minimum with sign-on bonuses. Now obviously a $20/hr job isn't going to cover everything but if you can work 2 jobs that both pay like that...

Not only one state. All states that will see federal benefits end week ending Sept 4th can continue distributing unemployment benefits from an almost 300 billion fund that hasn’t been exhausted. Obviously, if you’re in a red state, you’re shyt out of luck.

This actually is trash, I am on unemployment right now and it is hard af trying to find a tech job. I have been trying for months but been hit up with scam after scam. Jobs offering horrible pay, horrible benefits, horrible hours, etc. Competitive market for the limited number of good jobs right now. The only jobs that are hiring right now really is customer service jobs like retail and fast food because nobody wants to do those for numerous reasons.
Luckily I have saved up money that can last me for a couple of more months to continue searching, otherwise Mcdonalds here I come

Literally everyone is hiring, not much excuse. I get more emails and calls about job offers more than ever. I turn them all down cause my current job is great. Just make a resume and put it on job boards if you just want to be lazy
