It was the consensus after 2Pacalypse and the shelved sophomore album Troublesome that he had difficulty picking a beat to be a big single, Shock had spoke about this before and I think that's where ppl have picked up and construed him not being able to pick beats, but by 93 he was working with Warren G, Easy Mo Bee, Battlecat, and getting fed single ready beats by DU, he wasnt a wack beat picker, Wendy said the only good beat on MATW was Dear Mama, her ears are clearly defective.
