That's not how Nigerians roll at all. Once you are old enough to work, you are old enough to pay for everything (including paying back to your parents).
Your parents stop supporting you when you hit high school. By the time you graduate, you are supporting them and the family whether you want to or not.
For example:
-My sister and I paid for my little brother's college.
-My two older brothers paid for my youngest brothers college
-My 3 older siblings and I paid for my families new compound in Igbokuw
-All 6 of us paid for my dads Mercedez for his 60th B-day, and are paying mom's Mercedez for her 60th (this year)
