A lot of strategic manufacturing happens in Alabama. People sleep on Huntsville and its impact on the American economy.

They need to keep sleeping on it. Do not need everybody moving to the Tennessee valley like they did Atlanta.

we’ve been manufacturing since the end of the civil war though, Birmingham is second only to Pittsburgh in terms of steel production. (Most of those steel companies used illegal convict labor back in the 1800s but that’s another issue). We also have a lot of timber and the port of Mobile has always been a hub behind the ports of New Orleans, Houston and Tampa for the Gulf Coast
