Were the 09/early 2010 Raws the worst ones in history

In 09/early 2010, Raw was abominable TV week after week. They had the celebrity guest host thing which was rarely entertaining and always wasted TV time. FCW and its developmental system was hot garbish so there was not one single young talent being properly cultivated and developed. All the good workers at the time like Rey, Jericho, Punk, Taker, Morrison, Shelton, Jeff, Christian, and Edge were on Smackdown or ECW. People like Santino and Hornswoggle were getting a lot of spotlight. And there was the fukking Cena-Orton feud that spanned 5 PPVs and the even wacker DX resurrection :scust: Cody, DiBiase Jr, and Kofi were all buried, the only 3 young guys on Raw with potential at the time. Raw was pretty much: Guest host, Cena, Orton, DX, midcard fodder with MVP or Jack Swagger or some shyt, diva's bikini bash tag team match, end segment. I stopped watching Raw in full around this time and I'm shocked I even remember a lot of it :scust: Things didn't really pick back up until Nexus and Summer of Punk

Easily. Worse than the 95 Raws because at least in 95 they had the excuse that the roster was thin on talent. The guest host idea was WOAT.

And the Santina Marella idea. :martin:

Vince's idea was to put all the good wrestlers on the other brands, have all the main stars on the A show minus Taker, add some celebs, and cook. You can clump NXT and ECW into this fray too, Smackdown was the only show at the time that wasn't despicable. Them Jericho/Rey and Hardy/Morrison matches :whew:

02-03 during HHH reign was way fukkin worse

At least with that you had carried over Attitude Era/WCW talent and characters, a strong diva's division, Hollywood Rock, and some pretty entertaining tag teams. Plus the piffery of Smackdown from 02-03 was a more than viable alternative and pretty much the flagship brand at the time

Austin retired, Rock left after Backlash, & once he did Raw went to utter shyt with HHH going over ANY & EVERYBODY.

Jericho
Michaels
RVD
Kane
Goldberg
Steiner
Nash
Booker

Had they pushed fan favorites like RVD, Jericho, and Kane when he unmasked Raw could have been attitude era levels of piff.

Yeah it is. I think it was during the same time period where they had carlito and hornswoggle doing tom and jerry skits backstage :snoop:

The Muppets :aicmon:

Seth green main eventing RAW :scusthov:

The tag team division was weak and cryme tyme never won the tag belts even though they were a team longer than anyone on raw :beli:

Divas matches on raw :trash:

No, today's Raw's are the worst by far. Three hours of horrible television and less storylines than ever.

Guest Hosts were so much more entertaining than what we get now. 2009-2010 don't even look that bad now since every year since has been absolute garbage.

I remember the buildup to Wrestlemania 26, starting with the night Bret came back and they went head to head with TNA, being very good.

2009 started with that Orton storyline that's still the peak of his career, plus Jericho still at his peak heel run and HBK vs Taker buildup.

Of course, things fell off the rest of the year, but that's true for pretty much any year in the last 10 years for them, minus one or two.

The under/midcard is more talented now, but it's hard to notice the difference in 7 minute meaningless Jack Swagger v R Truth matches and 7 minute meaningless Dean Ambrose v Big E matches.
