Were the 09/early 2010 Raws the worst ones in history

Really? I thought it got a lot worse when the Summer of Punk crap began. In 2010 it was not bad when they had Nexus creating a lot of buzz, but that didn't last very long. Actually, the whole Nexus angle went to hell when Punk took charge of that to. He should've stayed on commentary, and not ruin every story he's involved in.

The Nexus went to Hell when Cena buried all of them

I really honestly believed that with CM Punk and Daniel Bryan reaching the levels they did, that the company would wake up and stop being a piece of shyt but... I would say currently the week to week product is just as bad as 09-10.

It's not that anything currently is as bad as Miz being champion or the anonymous GM or Michael Cole being alive but... it's just not worth watching. It's a waste of 180 minutes of TV time every single week. :ld:

I almost give the 09 Raws some props because at least the guest hosts were unpredictable and brought more fukkery potential. The shows this year have been dull and safe.

from the benoit shyt to the nexus angle or the pipebomb was the worst, aside from some great hbk matches and feuds.

They were bad because they were trying to bring back wacky 80s WWF and 90s WCW shyt back but that audience had seen it before

Compared to 2015 at least they tried something cause right now it feels like the same matches over and over but I would say at least 2015 feels like its attempting to make the wrestlers do less goofy shyt (Seth Rollins fukkery notwithstanding)

Actually now that I think about it at least Raw was only 2 hours back then and Smackdown had JR on commentary and CM Punk

And you had options with TNA

The big plus to 2015 for me is that they load the roster with talent and have a really great show every now and then. Booking and writing is trash and stale but at least you see potential there. 09/10 was perpetual shyttiness with no clear future in sight. 09/10 Raw didn't have no Bray Wyatt, Shield, Cesaro, New Day, Kevin Owens, or Sasha Banks on it's roster, nothing even close. And legends like Rock, Brock, and Sting were AWOL or in TNA/UFC

Sounds like torture :gag:

I started watching again right when HBK gave HHH the Sweet Chin Music during the HBK/Taker II buildup. If I remember right, TNA was dope around the time while WWE was a struggle. shyt didn't pick up until the SES angle with Rey on SD and of course Nexus got hot and then screwed over. Rocky came back to save us from the horrendous WM27 and has been Larry Holmesing it up since. The E hasn't been shyt since Punk and DB left. It's not worth watching Raw to maybe see Owens or Cesaro on it. Yeah New Day is hilarious and killing it but I can't skim through 2.5 hours of bullshyt to find 5-15 minutes of gold. Seth is dope but they need to end this Authority angle. At least we have NXT and the PPVs are ok, I guess. Not even TSC fukkery can save this horrible show.

To answer OP's question, the WOAT era is whenever Looney Tunes Swoggle, Spirit Squad, main eventer Edge and Khali, Chris Masters streak, and Heidrenrich/Snitsky took place. Assuming that was all between 06-09.

Naw the rock/brock surprise comeback was the hottest thing for a quick second when he returned, that alone was better than anything else that happened that year. That alone keeps 11 out of the conversation

Ding, Ding Ding... this is the correct answer by far.. That shyt was embarrising, I am ashamed I made it through that bull shyt.. I HATED the spirit squad and to make matters worse they tried to force them into main event storylines.. This must have been right after vince hit that Billion mark and said fukk it, I won I don't even have to try anymore.. That is alos why I think Edge is super overrated on here, he was the main guy during those times and wasn't that much more entertaining than the rest of them. but 09 after the benoit shyt is a CLOSE second I actually gave up until nexus debuted

anybody saying now, must not have watched wrestling during these darkest of dark ages.. Atleast now we have nxt and if you feel like it NJPW is easier to access or ROH

06-Benoit death wasn't that bad in my opinion. At least they still ran edgy storylines and had blood, but that was the point when they did fukkery just for fukkery sakes with all the ridiculous gimmicks and stories.

11 is straight with me. That year was like new life breathed into WWEs lungs. I give points to any year where they at least make an effort to introduce new stars and run ambitious storylines.
