Naw the rock/brock surprise comeback was the hottest thing for a quick second when he returned, that alone was better than anything else that happened that year. That alone keeps 11 out of the conversation

Ding, Ding Ding... this is the correct answer by far.. That shyt was embarrising, I am ashamed I made it through that bull shyt.. I HATED the spirit squad and to make matters worse they tried to force them into main event storylines.. This must have been right after vince hit that Billion mark and said fukk it, I won I don't even have to try anymore.. That is alos why I think Edge is super overrated on here, he was the main guy during those times and wasn't that much more entertaining than the rest of them. but 09 after the benoit shyt is a CLOSE second I actually gave up until nexus debuted

anybody saying now, must not have watched wrestling during these darkest of dark ages.. Atleast now we have nxt and if you feel like it NJPW is easier to access or ROH

Edge was the smackdown savior

Piven calling summerslam the summerfest :scust:. The muppets hosting:upsetfavre:ZZ top hosting:trash:. All the chavo vs hornswoggle matches :aicmon:cena vs orton nonstop :shaq2:. Kofi getting way over and his push being killed in an instant :camby:. Today is just mindless mind numbing :trash:that everyone forgets a day later. Not sure which is worse really. Both eras are full of bright young guys being buried for no reason too

mystery GM era was terrible.

summerslam cena and friends verse nexus. scust.

i known ppl dikkride nexus but as cena villains they never really posed a threat and were turned into a mockery. it was pretty much just wade barret and a bunch of disposable chickenshyt jobbers.

jericho / edge rivalry for the championship. :scusthov:

I'm gonna go back through this thread, but what I mostly remember about the WWE in 2009/2010 was Kofi and Dolph facing each other about 500 times, John Cena, Nexus, and Jack Swagger going from actually having a flashy personality to immediately turning into a mini Jericho once he cashed in the MITB.

Riley was getting cheered loooooong after him and Miz had split. And they weren't piped in either lol. I was very surprised.

I would like to bump this and add the 08-2010 era overall was probably the shyttiest one since 94-96. While today's WWE is far from consistently great, the in ring product has improved so much, we're getting NXT and Indy piff under a WWE banner, and they're actually making new talent. It's crazy to look at those late 2000s cards and realize they were using the same top talent from the late 90s and early-mid 2000s (Taker, DX, Cena, Orton, Jericho, Edge) while refusing to properly develop any new main event level talent except for Punk

anything from like '09 to '12 is pretty damn terrible that's the start of PG it was very lame :scust:

I think in '12 they started pushin Bryan and The Shield

Chill, Nexus, Summer of Punk (at least in the beginning), Punk's title reign, Rock Return, Brock Return, AJ, Taker/HHH, Rock/Cena, and of course Taker/HBK were all pretty piff

Although you could argue last year was pretty tough in some stretches cause of the 3 hour format.

I know I already posted in here, but definitely agree with parts of 08 needing to be in here. Remember that disastrous million dollar giveaway thing. The pure desperation for ratings was at the very bottom. Some of the worst and most boring Raws came from that period. I've never really taken a true break from wrestling, but that period is when I thought I'd stop watching all together. If any wrestling fan can make it through that period, you can make it through anything

The 718
2010 was one of the worst years in wrestling history. Raw was straight up:trash::trash::trash::trash::trash::trash:

Funnily enough, I'd actually quit watching altogether that summer...and the first Raw I missed was the Nexus debut.:snoop:

fukkers pulled me back in immediately, and I stuck around until giving up a year later because Punk's imminent departure meant there was nothing left for me to be optimistic about...

First show I miss is the Pipe Bomb:beli:
