Were the 09/early 2010 Raws the worst ones in history

Whichever year Raw start doing that anonymous GM shyt, that's was the worst.

No, today's Raw's are the worst by far. Three hours of horrible television and less storylines than ever.

Guest Hosts were so much more entertaining than what we get now. 2009-2010 don't even look that bad now since every year since has been absolute garbage.

No. Raw today you get one or two great ones every month or so with some borderlining on good wedged in between. The wrestling and promo work is also way better. 09/10 was truly total nonstop trash

If CM GAWD wasn't on commentary, it would have been completely unwatchable

Punk wasn't even on commentary until late 2010 by which point Raw had sort of recovered with Nexus

2009 actually started out well with the build up to Royal Rumble and Orton punting Vince. It started to drop off in May but that happens every year since 2003 though.

Yeah the only reprieve in that timespan we got was Orton/HHH and Taker/Shawn. The difference is in 09 the dropoff after Mania was far heavier than any other year. At least now in the last 2 or 3 years they've done great summer storylines in conjunction

The under/midcard is more talented now, but it's hard to notice the difference in 7 minute meaningless Jack Swagger v R Truth matches and 7 minute meaningless Dean Ambrose v Big E matches.

Difference is people would actually pay money to see Ambrose and Big E

One of the reasons i cant stand Triple H. I didn't have TNN in my area back then. I missed out on Raw for yrs. Rvd Jericho fukkin Booker T and Kane got fukked over. Pisses me off to this day smh. Triple H went over Sting in that horrible struggle nostalgia match. Sting of all people.

2011 Raws pre-Punk and post-Punk were bad but not horrendous. They were at least trying to build younger talent and establish a better midcard with fresher faces. Miz and R-Truth both individually and together had hot acts, Rock came back, DB Punk ADR Kofi Bourne Ziggler & Sheamus livened up the wrestling, Sin Cara was still an exciting prospect at the time, Ryder had his thing going. From 05-10, for 5 years, they had the same fukking 4-5 people at the forefront of the company. 2011 was a very big changeup and I don't look back too hatefully of that time.

Really? I thought it got a lot worse when the Summer of Punk crap began. In 2010 it was not bad when they had Nexus creating a lot of buzz, but that didn't last very long. Actually, the whole Nexus angle went to hell when Punk took charge of that to. He should've stayed on commentary, and not ruin every story he's involved in.
