Yeah even with that I still for friends from the islands and Africa. If you grew up in the 80's you would know that black Americans would clown the shyt out of them. So there is alot of resentment there. It seemed like the clowning didn't stop till Shabba Ranks came out and when reggae was popular among the black American community

I always liked to learn about other cultures so I never had major problems with the whole better than us crap.

What proof do you have to justify this ignorance? Seriously let me know? Because you're going to struggle to find a culture, political, and or social correlation between those two groups of people; so to say there're similar correlations doesn't make sense.

So you see those as societal validation from white people? The @Poitier guy may be harsh towards Carribeans and Africans, however he does have a point, which group of people in America is more open than African Americans in America.

I think the yt people with dark skin comment was in relation to the mindset that's pervasive in America based on materialsim and lack of humanity. He's saying that yt people trained AA's through American hyper aggressiveness and disassociation to be cold and not value certain aspects of life that make us all human, or more cold and callous. I've seen that but again tha'ts not all AA;s fault since they are subject to the land they live and have a hard time pretending like yt people do.

Going to a predominantly white high school it annoyed me when white kids said "you don't act like regular black people." I can't fathom how any black person can take that as a compliment. Middle Class Black Americans are better off than almost anyone in your shythole islands. When a group migrates to America, they're allowed to filter out all of their trash because of the intense screening process prior to gaining citizenship here. Black Americans cant do that.
