I was done with Griselda on Shady once I heard Eminem’s half ass mailed in verse on Bang. Conway came way too hard for Eminem to mail it in like that. Just not a good fit.

Rocnation are spin masters and clout is what makes the world go round. They've done a lot for Griselda. The fact that WSG can come out with a wild statement like feeling he's owed the job to run Def Jam and have people take it semi seriously and have Benny The Butcher be considered damn near consensusly a top 10 rapper in the game without a hit album tells you a lot about the power they exert and position they've managed to elevate griselda to.

Roc Nation seems like a decent place to be. Benny seems happy there. I know Rapsody has been real happy there for 2 albums in a row now. I've heard other artists there are happy.
That should've been the play from WSG and Conway to begin with.

Respectfully this is an essay that didn’t answer my initial question to you which was
“but what have they done lately that has translated to album sales?”
Its great that Westside Gunn gets to hang out with Virgil Abloh who has been repeated exposed as stealing the work of other designers and passing it off as his own, but again how is all of that translating to album sales?
It’s great that Westside Gunn gets invited to Paris fashion week, but again how did that exposure help his record sales?
It’s great that Benny is being considered as a top ten rapper, but again how has that translated to album sales when his best effort is 19k? However I won’t include benny in this because in my opinion, his success is entirely down to him promoting himself, and his hard work.
I appreciate your support for Roc Nation, but in my opinion they have done the bare minimum for Westside Gunn in comparison to other artists on their roster.
Let’s really be honest. If they were not, would they honestly say?
Makes you also wonder why Conway didn’t sign to Roc Nation after his tearful encounter with Jay-Z and stuntin’ at the Roc Nation brunch.
My point is not to disrespect Roc Nation, I’m sure a lot of artists are happy there for their own personal reasons, but let us not act like they are not above ignoring their talent, and that’s why some have walked away.
