NBA fans don't watch games. They prepare narratives and storylines.
This Mavericks team got all types of holes including a secondary star that clearly doesn't want to be on the team and they took a championship team to 7 games lol. I don't know what some of these nikkas watched. Mavs don't even have more talent than the blazers.

Giannis wasn’t good from jump. He was the original “a year away from being a year away”?

Bron came into the league and everyone already thought he was the real deal.

Maybe Russ and Harden fit the mold but they were part of the Thunder when they came in and shared their scrutiny with KD. Honestly KD would be the closest thing I can think of compared to Luka.

Bron neglected defense and focused on offensive brilliance similar to Luka.

Bron didn't win a ring until he started playing def and shared the ball

Luka will be an all time great but he has to defer some, move without the ball, play defense, and do more than score-rebound-pass

Yeah I don't see how he got exposed at all. He played well, but Kawhi is just better than him. No shame in that

This that dumb mentality people instill on other sports. They expect one person to do it all or think its up to one person to win in a team sport.

NBA fans spread this narrative everywhere.

Imagine telling a guy who dropped 40+ in a game that he's the reason they cant win :heh:

Basketball fans are dumb.
Yes. 1 player can have more of an impact on the outcome in basketball than baseball or football.

But more of an impact doesn’t mean ALL of the impact in so far as overcoming everything else to win.

Its why i dont get the hate these folks have for players like Lebron.

Imagine the coli in the 80s where a young Jordan couldnt get his team a ring but had all the numbers and skills.

nikkas would have threads like "MJ a stat freak but cant win shyt"

Its crazy how the internet has given a platform to all these weird ass hot takes and people run with it. Crazy.

Luka's problems aren't offensive; they are defensive.

In Game 7, the Clippers moved the ball around the 3 point line knowing that at some point Luca would fail to rotate, or barely close out to the shooter. They were shooting wide open threes, or attacking the rim to a great extent because Luca takes a lot of defensive plays off.

The Mavs ain't going anywhere until Luka decides to play D.

They were in a zone to force jumpers instead of inside. Clips made their jumpers this time. Game

Luka needs a Robin.

Yeah, we’ve seen the story before of guys playing with mediocre casts and teams with holes getting blamed for not being able to win a championship.

Not too many Robins out there. He probably eventually leaves and plays with another great player for rings. Until then, he'll stack up crazy stats

LeBron was a DPoY candidate in 2009 and one of the leagues best distributors out the gate

He won when he got a secondary playmaker.

Luka doesn’t have that. U don’t want THJ dribbling all he has is a size up pull up. Brunson and Burke are back up PG’s. The team wouldn’t go any further with him off the ball and the Clippers are the better team.
