That's an argument against ability to implement not efficacy

im neutral on social programs, some of them work some of them dont, some of them are good some of them are bad, some are sustainable and some arent

until a specific and detailed proposal for a social program is made i have no opinion on it

what i am against is black people making social programs their top political and geopolitical goal, social programs are not an effective weapon against white supremacy, its a cowardly and feminine way of confronting white supremacy

racial and cultural diversity make it hard to agree on anything, period
Do you have any proof of this?

Doesn't really matter. Even with all our "racial and cultural diversity" the majority of Americans still want Nordic style social programs. So there's agreement there :yeshrug:

Kaiser Poll: 58% of Americans support Medicare for all - PNHP's Official Blog
Voters want paid leave, paid sick days, poll shows. Obama, too. Will Congress oblige?
Poll: Most support making college free

Last I heard democracies operate via majority. Do you know what democracy & majorities are? :jbhmm:

i swear your posts are written with such good grammar but they are just filled with ignorance and stupidity

there is plenty of proof that it does for anybody that cares to do any research, let me help you out

Let me google that for you

Let me google that for you

Let me google that for you

i have no idea what some random poll about some random social program is suppose to signify

we dont live in a democracy, we live in a republic where laws are made by elected representatives under a constitution, on top of that there is this thing called politics that overlays everything

do you understand politics? do you understand that politics is impacted by social cohesion?

do you know the difference between a democracy and a republic? obviously you dont, so let me help you out again

Democracy + a completely different set of values will vary results IMO...

Democracy :dahell: Nordic countries don't have elected leaders?
:skip:Guess I should have spelled out "plus".

How does racial or cultural diversity make it hard to agree on social programs?
Accounting for and compensating for the unequal starting points people occupy is much more difficult in America. Not saying the Nordic system 'cant' work... just that its much more different in a nation like America.

It signifies the sentiments of the American people on Nordic style social programs...

A much more pointed and relevant representation than your frantic Google search of arbitrary terms.

Wouldn't Nordic style social programs that give everyone access to things like childcare and healthcare be a pretty straightforward way to compensate for said unequal starting points :dahell:

there are a lot of social programs that are popular with the public, how you jump from that to saying a majority support an expansion of social programs is beyond me

do you have any polls that show that americans want a nordic style social welfare system?

I just posted links to polls showing Americans want Nordic style social programs. Don't try to move the goalposts once you have been scored on.

I'm not moving the goal posts, the goal posts that I laid is that implementing a Nordic welfare system through a congress isn't going to happen

Implementing a Nordic style welfare system includes raising taxes, so any poll about social programs that doesn't include that part is not informative because taxes is the crux of the issue, and why it's hard to implement in the us

So I'm not moving the goal posts, I'm asking if you have any polls showing that Americans approve of nordic style welfare programs and the accompanying tax increases

In other words it's not about social programs it's about social systems

That is why my google links to social cohesion and social capital are extremely important, because they have a lot to do with whether people are willing to have their taxes increased to benefit the larger society
