I'm not moving the goal posts,

Yes you are.

First you said people couldn't agree on social programs.

the racial and cultural diversity of the us makes it harder to agree on social programs than in homogeneous countries

I posted polls showing Americans favor social programs. Then you start talking about social welfare

do you have any polls that show that americans want a nordic style social welfare system?

its the same difference, do you have any polls showing that americans are willing to agree with tax increases to pay for the social programs?

@cashinout what far left positions do you agree with? :jbhmm:

- universal healthcare via single payer but with a private option
- education reform (k-12)
- welfare/food stamps/safety nets
- pro-choice abortions
- don't care which group of people wants to get married, they should be able to
- against war/nation building (idk is that a liberal one?)
- secularism
- renewable energy sources

just off the top of my head

nothing really radical :manny:

idk if any of those are far left though

Most of those aren't far left merely liberal, but :leon:
Education reform in what respect? :patrice:

Out of curiosity are the rest of your positions mainly centrist, right, far right?

:dahell:

We have plenty of federal service facilities across the country. Most obvious one is Social Security, but there is also the USPS- which is bankrupt, but only because of poor fiscal choices, which can happen with private entities too.

Privatizing things doesn't guarantee anything either; there are still plenty of uninsured people as well as areas of the country that are losing essential private sector service facilities like hospitals and even grocery stores. Walmart comes to a town, all the local business dies, then Walmart closes down and the town has nothing :dahell:

You mention the military.... again, we have over 1,000 army bases around the world.... how is it easier to build an army base in a foreign war zone than an administrative office in Montana :what:
These army bases aren't exclusively funded by the US Government...thats kinda a major caveat... :francis:

On top of that, its just that I want fair numbers about these costs.

Using simple arithmetic ignores the tons of waste and ingrained cultural flaws that cause the US Government to be laden with such inefficiencies.

Hell, even ethics about doctor pay in some European nations sustain cultures where doctors are just OK making less money, but even still they're seeing flight of essential personnel.

It's an opinion piece backed up by facts :yeshrug:

What did he say in the article that either wasn't true or wasn't backed up with facts? :ld:

he equated a recent influx of immigrants into northern europe with 200 year old racial issues in america and suggested they both represented an equivalent amount of "diversity"

that right there renders the whole article useless

this article represents another reason why black people should avoid anything labeled "diversity"
