I figured as much the way it was originally presented when Deku got it. Also All Might was quirkless. He used an aspect of All for One but as you're saying now that's not the only aspect of it. The portion he used he seemed to master but he clearly didn't use All for One to its full potential.

Deku was a weak crybaby geek that wanted to become strong and heroic and stand up for the weak. His character has developed plenty. Far more than a lot of shonen protagonist develop. I guess you can't see Deku's influence on Todoroki and even Bakugou to some extent or how he's basically becoming a leader of his class and how he inspires confidence in those around him.

How could somebody follow MHA and ask what Deku is about?
