People can say what they want about Death note and it's fall off but Light was a great main character. Him, LeLouch, Anos Voldigoad are some of the more entertaining main characters in anime where in just their presence elevates a show to watchable.

I remember dropping the manga 8 volumes in...the mc is depressed and not as charismatic and intelligent as Light. Im going to give it another chance by watching the anime.
