The only way it would work is if they animate him in 2D whenever he's using his powers like in space jam. Otherwise, he'll look fukking horrible when he stretches. Marvel got around it pretty well by making Ms. Marvel's powers light based, but the only way they can do devil fruit powers in a way that is true to the source material and doesn't look like nightmare fuel, a mix of 2D style animation and practical effects(like animatronics mixed with CG) are the only way around it.

Filming a show like this unless netflix has secured some amazing animation tech would bankrupt them.

I think a lot of Luffy's powers and moves are just going to be reimagined to fit the live action series.

The animation quality seen in S4 Danmachi's 2nd episode has been a big step up from the previous seasons. This might be the season that it gets the adaptation it deserves considering it got an increase in episode count as well.

I haven’t even seen it yet but looks nice I think around ep 6 is when fukkERY STARTS still not sure yet depending on pacing cuz vol 12 is a small arc but they may stretch it out tho depending pacing cuz vol 13-14 especially vol 14 like I been saying title of series gonna be renamed to ITS WRONG TO fukk WITH THE DUNGEON YOU WILL GET CLAPPED

@tripleaamin for danmachi aka girls in a dungeon I did some more looking so I was reading more info and if leaks are true episode 6 ends vol 12
And around ep 11 and 12 will end vol 13 and vol 14 can finish season off since it’s the longest book of the series and most darkest of them all with ep 22 being last
Still hasn’t been confirmed it being 22 episodes but pacing and title leaks more or less are confirming it and the big question is will they split this cour tho cuz they can and if they do I can see them leaving it at a fukked up for this cour in a good way when I say that
