Just finished Bungou Stray Dogs S2. shyt continues to deliver. While initially it was weird to looking back at Dazai's past, it was well executed. You fully get to understand his motivations and how scary he really can be. The dynamic with Atsushi and Kyouka is really good since they each other help the over come issues with their past. I don't like fake-out deaths, but given the series wasn't afraid in S1 to kill off some characters that seemed likable. It still got you invested in her dying. Altho it was important to get an answer to why Atsushi is in full control of his powers all of a sudden.

Dazai despite his first impressions is very scary and calculating. These last 2 episodes enhance that fact even more. Altho Akutagwa obsession towards getting Dazai's respect towards the end of season was kind of comical when Atsushi threw the phone away and Akutagwa was so desperate to talk to Dazai had me :deadrose:

i know @LordDeathwatch probably thinks we talking about the kiss scene,
i see alot of folks not up on episode 8
Hulu getting it earlier than The anime streaming apps?
I know what's to come and while I'm not in the Denji Inner Circle like @T-K-G , I approve of the fukkery.

Except the kiss.:scust:

started Bocchi the Rock. I was wondering why the reviews are so overwhelmingly positive for a supposed K-on clone, but thats cuz its really nothing like K-on in terms of direction and purpose.

K-On was ultimately about maximizing fun in a fleeting high school period, musical expertise being secondary to their everyday nonsensical club activities. Yui wasn't all that as a musician but she had endless charisma and found fun in everything and that was always the point. K-on was also an unabashed moe show that pandered to its audience.

Boochi is about overcoming social anxiety, irrational fears that can keep the talented from reaching their potential. Boochi is a god solo guitarist but has no self confidence and doesn't know how to work within a team. Lot more room for character development here that would lead to a satisfying payoff once she does reach her dream. Not really a moe show. No superficial pandering that I can see.

Similar to how a lot of sports anime use the sport as a vehicle to explore human themes, while (sometimes) providing accurate portrayals of that sport that may teach you more about it, Boochi is very much the same for band music and I can appreciate that. There's a few good musical anime that work like this (Kids on the Slope, Nodame Cantabile, Beck etc) and this seems to be another one. Its exceptionally good for a CGDCT show (but still a CGDCT show, so its never gonna be for everyone)
