The only other original story that fell off badly was Witch from Mercury. Prologue was easy 10/10 and part 1 was slow but had really good set up. But part 2 was certified :trash:

Tho not as iconic as Wonder Egg That fall off is iconic they gave 0 fukks oh how they were going to end of it :russ:
Yeah, that was hilariously bad. But it didn't hurt as much because it wasn't as :ohhh: as WEP was.

Mysterious Disappearances Episode 3

I think they really portrayed Manami-sensei's character very well. As a kid who had the bare necessities she literally got bullied for what she was wearing. The only person she had was her grandmother and ironically the teacher ended up bullying the grandma. The problem is clearly at home since I am not to blame. Ultimately it's the adult's job in this world to look out for the kids and to resolve the bullying. I am not sure what that sensei saw out of Manami, but it's fukking obvious she was only looking out for her own skin.

The amulet being a present from her grandmother really made it clear to why she couldn't hand it over. It was at that point where you realized that while Manami-Sensei's reasons for stopping bullying is something you can absolutely empathize. It was at this point she was using reasons justify the means. While it wasn't aware of her in a way she was bullying the bullies. Those students were traumatized at not being able to come back to school. It shows that power can corrupt even the nicest of people. No doubt Manami-sensei is a good person. Her trauma and hatred of bullying clouded her. But it's nice to see Manami-Sensei given another chance. Hopefully she can live as a proper role model for her students now.

It's still fun how Oto still has her guard up with Sumireko, but bit by bit I believe she will learn how to trust. On the mystery side we got true vs false mysteries. Which can be divided into genuine and reputed mysteries. The latter is ones that can be proved by science and the former dives into the supernatural aspect of this show. Which I will admit it is very interesting.

Dungeon Meshi Episode 17

I think it has to be said this show absolutely deserves to be in the discussion with Frieren & Apothecary for AOTY talks. :wow:

Man that scene of Falin in her Red Dragon Chimera form was well done. Just the sheer terror of her brutally killing each person in the 3-person party was outstanding. But man regardless of what you said, it's asking a lot for Laios to kill a monster given it has the body of his sister. Though at this point it's clear she has been made to be a monster. Though the idea of the Red Dragon's soul being the primary one makes sense.

Shuro and Laios argument was well done as well. You can understand both sides. Both loved Falin the former as a lover and the latter as a sibling. Honestly a lot of Shuro's anger comes from the fact that he blamed Laios even though he couldn't express his feelings to Falin. It is understandable that he was frustrated, but the situation has escalated to this point. His plan of turning Marcille is logical. But at the end of the day, most likely those elves have no attachment to Falin and IMO they would just kill her as the solution.

Laios solution is the golden solution. And is the one we want. But it will be a tough one to pull off. Also, I like how Kabru brings up the consequences if he were to beat the Dungeon Master. That knowing Laios, he hasn't come close to realize any consequences of his solution outside of saving Fallin.

Honestly A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics has been a pretty fun reverse isekai.
A pretty good comedy all things considered.

Just when we think we found someone who is a potential GF for Sousuke, and it seems apparent on our end she is into him. I guess him seeing what job she does, I understand why he has doubts. Tho I imagine Sara might do some investigating of that in the future.

Speaking of Sara I love the energy she brings. Pure fun gremlin energy. The case with the bully incident is highlights the strengths of Sara. She is great at talking to people and has a lot of charisma. She was a big help in the case. Also, no parent wants to hear that they are forcing to deal with bullying or an equivalent to protect their parents like that. Every good parent wants their child's happiness to come first.

So in this episode we got some interesting world building where that Sara's world is essentially an alternate timeline of Japan in the case where Oda Nobunaga was a True Demon lord and learned magic. Which got passed on which is why Sara and Livia can use magic.

Recently finished S1 of Hibike! Euphonium S1. This is a coming of age Performing Arts series in which focuses on a group of students who are part of the band where they perform as part of the Musical Ensemble. I would give it an 9/10 but would only recommend if Performing Arts type of series are your thing. It's a very slow burn even for the type of series it is, but it offers a conclusion that showcases this is the start of their journey.

The strongest point in the series is the dynamic between Kumiko Oumae and Reina Kousaka. The series starts with them both in the same band in middle school and Kumiko being not really invested at the time has no emotional connection to their band falling short. Meanwhile, her words to Reina at the time they did will struck accord. Obviously being more emotionally invested in the results then here.

Over the course of the season you see Kumiko grow emotionally invested in both her and her band's performance. Where we also see her embrace the Euphonium which she decided to play again reluctantly. Where S1 conclusion brings herself to truly empathize how Reina was back then. Beyond that the major focus stems across Reina for trying to be open up to others, Hazuki trying something out and learning the pains that goes along with it and Midori as the big support character in the group. Various side characters get a spotlight on them such as Tsukamoto, Natsuki and Karoi.

As this is done by Kyoto Animations visually it is top-notch and beautifully animated. Now music plays a big theme in this show. Overall the music is very well done as well. With only 2 big performances it doesn't get as much time to shine, but is executed well in these 2 moments in S1. The biggest thing for the series is that it is a very slow burn as you don't get payoff and investment until episode 10 or so.
