I love how Turbo Granny thinks of Acrobatic Silky as basically a Goomba compared to her, she was basically playing on a phone during that fight :russ:

Meanwhile, with Evil Eye she starts flipping her shyt. That's when you know the threat level is real. :pachaha:

going to watch this one through the weekend. One of my most highly anticipated shows along with Dandadan & Summer Hikari Died.
Leviathan starting off dope, I like how they did the 3d, whenever they stop moving it looks 2d again :ehh: I'm immediately locked in to the story so far, Aleks got that Paul Atriedes wake-up call, even got his Duncan Idaho and Gurney Halleck holding him down on pops orders

Ole girl doing the Mulan and ending up at the shop the show is titled after :ehh:

DanDaDan gonna have to start directing this story somewhere, progress out of the monster of the week style they spent the whole last season doing :russell: fell asleep twice watching that episode.

If it turns out that's all the show is then :hubie:we got space for well animated mid this season

Is Leviathan the show that already has its 12 episodes out on Netflix?

Thought that shyt was a gag that'd be resolved in season 1 tbh :francis: weird hill for them to stand on but I guess. I be struggling through those episodes looking for some type of payoff

And yea all of leviathan is out, on EP 5. now it's hard not to binge with the way each episode ends, not to mention the stakes :whew:

If you don't like it, you don't like but I think it's the best made shounen since Mob Psycho :manny:
Interesting you make that comparison because both thrive as much purely a character driven coming of age stories. Dandadan has the romance built as its foundaiton. That's where both are great. Though in the manga for Dandadan now in Act II, with CSG it is starting to get more story-driven. Though this series feels like it is going to last a long time. Def 500+ imo. Tatsu unlike Gege & Fujimoto imo has the drive for it.

Orange is an actual dedicated CGI studio and easily the best at doing it. They previously did Trigun Stampede, Beastars & Land of the Lustrous. Polygon is another one too, but I haven't seen much of their stuff.

SANZIGEN & Toei Animation dedicated their girls band series to full CGI use, and the CGI is executed very well, in my opinion.

Looking at some comparison videos, you can really see how CGI has come along well.

Started watching Leviathan. Pretty solid start.

Alek is definitely a spoiled brat. Basically a prince of Austria and doesn't know too much of reality. He did seem to ease better throughout the 3 episodes. Sharp is more interesting. I am curious why she is serving in the England's army. Though she can actually hold her own, which is impressive. Nora Barlow, there is more to her than meets the eye it seems. Also, those eggs, what are they?

Basically from what I understand.

  • Alek's parents were assassinated by Serbia
  • Austria launched an attack on Serbia.
  • Russia joined as an ally of Serbia
  • We have Germany opposing Russia.
  • England and France alliance is TBD. Though given this story, I assume that England and Austria will be aligned?
The mention of Clankers vs Darwinsts seems to be an interesting theme in this story. High-tech machinery vs. bio-engineered creatures. With the two protagonists meeting I wonder how that aspect will progress throughout the story.
