I’m still on season 1 of The Promised Neverland & I fukk with it but what’s up with the IMBD ratings for season 2 :picard:

Every episode is rated 2/10 :mjlol:

Can’t be that bad can it brehs :lupe:
Oh it is. Granted, the manga also fell of a cliff near the end but the anime speed ran through the best parts of the story and ruined all the awesome shyt that happened before the source material went to shyt. Season 2 was an abomination of an adaptation.

Crazy how improved Cloverworks reputation is now. That season they fukked promised Netherland, the whole wonder egg dibocal & speedrun Horimya 16 volumes in one season.

Tho horimya was a light issue compared to the other two.

as a #NoReadGang nikka
season 2 doesn't start off that bad. It's decent until about 5 or 6 episodes in you start to realize they rushing the hell outta the story
then on the series finale, they just show still images/pictures during the final moments of the show like you just beat some 16 bit era video game.

so yeah this is one of those rare moments where EVERYBODY is right about it. Season 2 was a waste of time.

I really like how the author is utilizing Nell because those troll parts she put in her gave her the strength to save Luna. Granted, Nell feels too nice to actually fight, but when push comes to shove she isn't a liability at least.

Meynard really going out of his way to manipulate the townspeople is fukking insane. I mean the King was more so the reason why Clevatess killed the King and his people. Of course, just putting the blame on Alicia is an easy way to manipulate them. To be honest, just threatening them might be enough because there really shouldn't be anything they can do against Meynard & Chiffonlits.

Drell is much more dangerous than anyone anticipated. Some form of magic that can use the claw of the Dark Dragon? That will do numbers on any human opponent. Though I was surprised Clevatess made his appearance. To my understanding now is the spell that Drell used made of Dark Ichor and the body that comes out of it should be Dark Ichor as well. Though Clevatess can manipulate Dark Ichor so I can't imagine him staying for there for too long. I guess the only thing I wonder is how this Dark Ichor is different from the one Clevatess uses. Though I assume the only thing that is different is that the Dark Ichor that is inside Alicia is made from him while the magic Drell uses is different.

On a side note, Chiffonlits says she uses her Axe to fly. I wonder if this is a combination of her having the axe stick to her while using magic to also make the Axe fly?

Started watching "Bullet Bullet" which is an anime original by E&H Production directed by Seong-Hu Park. It seems decent so far, and the animation is pretty solid too. :ehh:

The ending of last week heading into this week makes things interesting.

  • So basically the answer for Takeru is parallel worlds. I guess we can chalk it up as coincidence that his resets felt like going back in time. But the same world would imply that Takeru would have taken the same action as he did before.
  • Like how Takeru has an ability, Seimei has the memory from the other worlds. Though he seems to also be able to have the people in each world have their own hand on their hand. Thus, those from another parallel world would be seen as Oni. Thus the fight continues.
  • Seimei's idea is to create an ideal world by having these parallel worlds fight each other. It's a never-ending struggle to create the ideal world, but that is basically madness. It was shown early on that potential Seimei was controlling the black fog, and we get confirmation here.
  • Tsukimiya is the wild card. She clearly knows what is going on. Now this world does not know who Tsukimiya is, as she never existed. This leads to some scenarios.
    • Tsukimiya like Takeru only has 1 being.
    • Tsukimiya like Takeru came from another world with parents from this world, maybe?
    • This could mean she's been feigning ignorance this whole time. Though Seimei did try to extract information from her last episode. Though could she be immune to that?
I am suddenly very intrigued with this series now.

Catching up with Water Magician to episode 5, and honestly it feels refreshing for a fantasy series.

  • It's a bit of slow watching, but the world-building is great. The big thing is how concise it is and how it shows you a lot of the things with magic. Also big points for now stats being used. Any fantasy or isekai that relies on that is just lazy.
  • Ryou is a pretty solid MC, all things considered so far.
  • Side characters are interesting and actually thought out well. Too many fantasy & isekai use side characters as a way to prop up the Mc and only for that. Shield Hero is the biggest example of this.
Definitely one I think would be better to binge when it is over. Water Magician, Clevatess & Kijin Gentoushou are all some promising, well-structured fantasy series. Though I need to see more from the first two to say if it is well written like Kijin Gentoushou.

Picking up the light novel for this one.
