This episode adapted chapters 20 and 21.

  • I think the start is a bit of anime original before we start with the scene with Kurebayashi. At least I haven't read it yet or recognize.
  • Well executed with the two big scenes with Tanaka.

One thing that this episode makes clear is that Kurebayashi has been through some shyt. Her husband died and came back as an impurity. Where all the time her son spent with him was bound to be a bad idea. Still, "Hikaru" is not an impurity, as this isn't the old Hikaru. But what is he exactly?

I love that Yoshiki has a funeral of sorts for the old Hikaru. Though he is right at this point, nobody is going to mourn because they think Hikaru is still alive. Though Yoshiki is really the only one who knows. It is clear that Yoshiki isn't ready to say goodbye to Hikaru because as soon as he suggests going back to the mountains, Yoshiki freaks out. It's clear he isn't ready to move on from Hikaru even if every logical reason would tell him he needs to. Though this Hikaru, given Kurebayashi's words, might do it just to ensure he doesn't become more mixed.

Tanaka is becoming even more interesting. It seems he learned information based on the impurity that attacked Yoshiki & Hikaru. Then the end where he stops Old Man Takeda & slices off the head of Hikaru. It's clear he wanted to confirm that this Hikaru is not human. Though this makes things very interesting. Also, old man Takeda mentioned Kurebayashi, and there could be more to her than what we possibly know.

To be nikka X finally came back around to the OG trailer :wow: X mopped them boys the fukk up and Ahu had front row seats.

They actually skipped over most of the fight in the episode since he's not the focus and they already showed fans it years ago, woulda wasted a third of the episode, rewatching that I definitely I forgot this nikka has a whole sword too :whoo:Ahu getting basic combat skills from circus act trust value was unexpected

Cot damn Nice took a crazy L :skip: Dog went plat on all socials before you

And holy shyt @Instant Classic i mighta been right about X :damn: :damn: :damn: Nice couldn't remember a thing and the TV was glitching while pointing at LinLing

Im telling you, go back and watch episode 1, that nikka had no idea he was gonna fall like that :wow: X found out about the scam and was sick of that nikka

But isn't this exactly how Zero got out of control :ohhh: he smoked a hero and broke bad from there

Just seen the preview for next week everyone's in 3d again

:wow: to be nikka peak

I feel like Shield Hero Peaked at the first 12 episodes of the first season

Maybe it’s because they toned down his personality in the anime but these later seasons are not hitting like there supposed to:francis:
It fell off after the first 4 episodes of S1. Even then the whole revenge plot made it at least entertaining, even with the bad writing. After that it just became isekai slop that we get every season. This one just had a bigger following since it was one of the early ones before the amount of isekais that came out got out of control.

This episode covered chapters 81 and 82 as well as half of 83.

  • The anime hammers it down more than the manga that this is the same Tsukasa as in the present. As it shows the mother finding Tsukasa which is a scene from a previous episode.
  • The only real difference is that in the anime, Akane asks everyone for their pizza (ignore Teru), which leads to Teru shocking him. While in the manga, they just get the pizza Tiara wants.

As we had an idea from before, Tsukasa's wish was for Amane to get better, and in return he came to this Red House as a sacrifice. Of course, the irony is that Tsukasa wanted Amane to live, but he died at 13 after killing his brother. Of course this 4-year-old version of the Demon Tsukasa doesn't know that yet because it won't until they are 13, when Amane kills Tsukasa. Does this play into the motivations for the current Tsukasa? Though Kou's point of losing the real Tsukasa would have an effect on Amane.

As Teru elaborates, it seems like with the connection of sacrifices. Some, like Tsukasa, made a wish, and others were part of the old custom. You get different timelines coming together, but you can only return to your original timeline. Demon Tsukasa going back to his and Kou & Nene going back to theirs. While they learned a lot of information, nothing has been changed. Though the good news is now they have an entry point to save Aoi.

This probably isn't really worth watching because the source material has been stalled out for 6 years. It didn't seem like it was reaching the end game either so eventually the anime will catch up and it will be a very long time before it continues.
