Two shows finished up.

  • "Detectives These Days Are Crazy!" was a pretty good gag comedy that used a lot of stuff you see in detective series, and the execution of the comedy was good. Plus, side characters are very nice too. - 7.5/10
  • "Necronomico and the Cosmic Horror Show" was a fun watch with some of the psychological horror elements, but it really felt underused by the end of it, as the last two episodes felt way too safe compared to how I thought it would go. - 6/10

Great finale and a S2 announcement to boot :wow:

Klen is thinking, what is the point? But then he sees Luna walking towards him, symbolizing he is choosing his path even at a young age. Meanwhile, I love Alicia embracing the idea of being a fake hero. The point of this whole season is don't let the definition of others define what a hero is. A hero isn't just someone who saves the world or defeats the final boss. They are also there to help people in need, like Nell.

Of course Alicia could never defeat Drel. Instead of trying to go for the kill, she went for an achievable target, and that is her sword. As breaking regalia is a big deal. What this really showed was how merciless Vordin was. I assume without the regalia things would have been much harder for what Vordin wanted to achieve. So he killed Drel for that failure. Considering that Klen can be cruel himself, that feels like nothing compared to Vordin. Basically, Alicia beat Drel because Klen is a more forgiving master than Vordin.

This anime has been countlessly brutal, but the scene of Luna walking to his mother's arms was such a beautiful scene. Also, Anzetta is simply a beautiful, kind woman. Nell acting how she did makes sense, but Anzetta only cared that her son is alive and well now. She looks to be a great ally to have to come.

Of course Vordin will not be lying around. But what are his main goals? He mentions the awakening of Toah? More than likely it is connected to the book, but it is clear that there must be multiple books. More than likely, finding these various books will be what leads to some answers and perhaps more questions.

So Klen's deciding to be Luna's magic teacher is quite interesting considering he is just learning about magic. Though I assume he plans to learn more about magic, and then when Luna grows older, he can teach him more.

3 other shows finished that I watched.

  • For Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse, more world-building would have really benefited this anime a lot. Imo it would have been great if the pacing and world-building were on point. Though the twists themselves were great. The best character by far was Hareaki. They really nailed him down the stretch for this show. Takeru was a cool protagonist for what he is. Very shounen. Tsukimiya I felt weird about. I think the twist of her being the real antagonist was great, but it feels like they could have done more with her in why she sought to be alone. It would have made the comparisons to showing why she failed to the guys who worked together as a team. I give it 7.5/10. Pretty solid original that is worth a shot.
  • Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze is all honesty that was not bad, not good. For most harem anime, that is enough. The idea of wanting a family is good, but how it was executed from the start just felt like it was spinning its wheels. Not really anything special. 6/10. PA Works hard carrying it.
  • For New Saga, adaptation-wise, as anime-only, it felt very uninspired. As people mentioned weekly, the music was fukking awful. Animation was more or less average. I liked the art direction. Storywise, I liked it. Kyle and Theron being the highlights. I think the individual arcs were fine enough. I feel like it would be better to read it than how the anime presented it. But we barely got anywhere. No signs of an S2 is rough here. I would rate it 6/10.
