No announcement of a 2nd cour or 2nd season in production. Unless the manga starts selling, this might be it for the anime :anime:

I still thinking about binging Gachiakuta. I got to episode 5, then kinda forgot about it and can't bring myself to see if the series turns it around or not.

You aint missing anything, both shows are decent mid to pass time this season but nothing worth having a discussion over, trash man is better than what the first 5 episodes give you though i will say that

Yea just so you know what the power scaling is with them. First one looks just as good anyway so no reason to skip it tbh

@T-K-G there's rumors Mappa will give CSM the film-only treatment for the rest of Part 1. It was announced today that the International Assassins Arc is in product but it wasn't announced if it's for TV or film it kinda makes sense to me to make movies after all the money they made with the Reze one. It's still not official though



And holy fukk Legend of Hei (first movie) was fukking fantastic can't wait to watch the sequel

Hei fight choreography is that of legend, i watch those shyts in slow motion sometimes and they hardly skip any movements the shyt is crazy, i knew China was gonna start taking over off of that movie for sure



The 2nd one is even better opening scene was Revenant status



As far as CSM i think assassin's arc is about as long as Shibuya, a bit too long for a movie, but enough for 2/3's of a 24 ep season

Now if they only have 13 episodes again for season 2, then yea i could see that being a potential issue but only by a small margin, i think Shibuya was 18 episodes

Breh, Shibuya is almost 60 manga chapters, the Assassin's arc is 18 chapters they can easily make a 2 hour movie with it. After that the other 2 arcs are less than 30 chapters combined to adapt. I can see Mappa deciding to adapt the rest of Part 1 with 3 movies just off the strength of all the money they gonna make with them.

Length if the chapters doesn't matter i think it's moreso about whats happening in them, it's just straight hands, I dont see how that arc alone hits as a movie at all and i think the longer gaps to make the movie hurt the pacing of an already super fast show

Like even with the reze movie, you kinda lose the urgency with Aki and his arc with his lifespan cuz that shyt aired so long ago, even the kobeni gags getting glossed over when it's spread out this far apart

It's all gonna depend on how much money AI heavy animation makes. If people consume it as much as current anime, then yeah, animators will continue to get screwed by the 95% of studios and we'll get more projects, which will lead to more slop/mid shows for sure.

But there will also be projects that do a perfect mix and give us incredible content. I think it will all depend on the studios and who is behind each show.
