and surprisingly - barbatos got crazy pop in sales. i thought it was a bit of an edgy design for modern gundam, but people loved it in a show where not many other mobile suits got traction like that

I always looked at castlevania as a cartoon with high production value, similar with Invincible/Young Justice/Boondocks/Black Dynamite

All anime are cartoons but not all cartoons are anime

Imo part of what makes Ranking of Kings so fire is that it's in this weird in-betweenworld of both styles
