But would y’all rate it the same if not for the Chimera Ant arc?

The show’s good as a whole, but CA was what made me think so highly of the show.

Funny thing is, I’ve read online that some people had the audacity to say it wasn’t the best arc, I think I even seen someone say it was one of the worst because of the action and the arc having so many episodes.

Hunter Exam was a snooze fest, I liked YorkNew City, but not having a final fight made it so wack, Greed Island was actually better than I thought and had a great last fight, CA we already know, the last arc what was it called again Election? That one was better than the Hunter Exam to me.

YYH was flawless. The only thing bad was that it wasn’t expanded more.



Ok, I’m done for now….

I didn't fukk with 3 Kings, felt it kind of got away from what I personally liked about YYH and it gave Yusuke powers he didn't need or made him a better character (The Ichigo problem of randomly getting shyt that doesn't make sense) plus the arc removes Kuwabara completely who was easily the best or 2nd best character on the show depending on who you ask.

HxH without GOATmera arc is probably 60% of what it currently is. Gon and Killua experience their biggest character development in the arc, and the fallout from multiple events in the arc is still felt throughout the anime. Without CA, you don't get Chairman Election, and you definitely don't see Ging

I've had it Dark Tournament GOAT, Chuunin Exams second, and then everything else for so long that I'm wondering if I'm forgetting anything that competes. My Hero Academia's tournament arc was actually okay, Record of Ragnarok and Kengan Ashura are literal tournament stories but I like those two. JJK had that competition arc but it got disrupted before it could cook.

Anything worth checking for fam?

I haven't even finished YYH yet because I like it too much last thing I read was Volume 14 and they were about to fight that Sensui dude. I still gotta finish the rest of Chapter Black and the entire 3 Kings joint

Word, Baki fights are absolute insanity to begin with. I slipped up on keeping up with that ish, so I really only remember the early arena fights (not too far past Baki vs the eye-patch head that wound up being one of my favorite characters after a few of his fights).

Ippo's another one that I haven't checked in a long time. I remember him working to the champ and losing (he spends the whole fight wondering why his punches have no weight and the dude was rolling with the punches the whole time). I can't recall if that was a tournament format, but I'm pretty sure it was when he fought the Tommy Hearn clone and I love that fight.
