I don't get the whole cute girl bait vibe. I feel like that's how it's presented, but they give you some gangsta shyt at the same time to balance it out. All that other shyt is just character development imo. I'm not one of those dudes opposed to seeing women/cute girls be killers or do action. Hell, I enjoyed Release the Spyce back in 2018 which had the same vibe.

The reason why a lot of shows take so long to catch on here is because ya'll always lead with the negatives. I like to lead with the positives when I discuss anime in here. Certain shyt I have to watch for myself, because when ya'll discuss shyt, ya'll don't mention the action elements or the dope shyt that real nikkas wanna see.

Imagine if all the nikkas hyping up Cyberpunk just focused on the music and animation, without even mentioning how violent and action packed it was. Half the nikkas in here wouldn't care about it.
Who said a show having cute girls is a negative though? Shows like New Game and Comic Girls are actually good if you're open to comedy based slice of life. I mean if you aren't then everything ain't for everybody.

Just finished watching the Rwby anime from this season. It was the definition of mid. Never bad, but never really interesting or invested in the main cast. Mostly caused by pacing issues with the recap for the first 3 episodes. Not familiar with the original, but I do feel their is some potential if they adapt more in anime form. But it is def a skip imo.
RWBY anime looked cheap as hell and that's saying something coming from early days RWBY. At least the original show had some charm even if it looked like a PS2 game for animation. RWBY isn't the type of show most people in this thread will watch. The 3rd volume of RWBY is amazing but the show stumbles hard after that and doesn't really right itself until about volume 6. It's a very uneven show with high highs. Prototypical American wanna be anime.

I tried watching RWBY when it first came out but Ruby's voice actress was like listening to fingernails on a chalkboard. Like she was doing the most annoying ass high pitched voice she could manage.

My nikka you brought that shyt up first and then you naming a bunch of hoe ass shows that got fukk to do with anything.

Here I'm talking about a bunch of young girls kicking ass in a action drama thriller, and you bring up the random ass episode about panty shopping.

Like my nikka we getting 2 different things out of the same show. :mjlol:

Yo they said Bleach about to be expired on Hulu. WTF!!

I heard they were putting the new Bleach on Disney, so it better be there.
I think that's for people living in Japan, so it's still up in the air on what platform it would be on. I wouldn't be surprise if it end up being on Crunchyroll, but if it is on Disney+, then that means Disney back in anime in the west.

I need to get back to watching more anime. It’s just that reading manga take less time and some of the mangas I’ve been reading don’t even have animes.

Bought my first ever mangas, the Akira box set and the DBZ box set.:wow:

Saw Akira for the first time a few weeks ago and wanted the full story and I had to get the classic DBZ. Plan on getting Attack on Titan next and Naruto Part 1 if that ever gets in stock at a reasonable price.

I also want to check out Kaiju No. 8. Is that good?:jbhmm:

Jotaro has to be one of the coolest characters of all time. Every time he shows up in a JoJo he seems to get cooler and cooler. He reminds me of Prince and Michael Jackson.
Yo that is my fukkin nikka, one of my favorite characters ever. Dude is a straight G. Jotaro is the main reason I watched JoJo. I guess his outfits do remind you of Michael Jackson and Prince.

He reminds me of Batman. Glad that he’s in the most parts.

Idk it says that it expires on what I’m seeing. Hulu is the only app that has all the episodes, so they gotta put it somewhere.

I'm talking about the tones and themes of the character interactions and what audiences they're appealing to and you're equating a show containing violence to quality. That show is yuri bait just like those other shows I listed have yuri bait all tied up in the character interactions. The whole thing is basically K-On but what if it was about guns instead of a music club. This show is filled with moe pandering predominately young female characters mostly split in close pairs and relationships between them that don't explicitly clarify their status as purely platonic. Even the hacker is a little girl and the men are kept to background characters or antagonists.

My bad if you can't look at that and see that yeah this is a show that's playing to the cute girls doing cute things fans that love these yuri shows. Does it have some action scenes in it with guns? Yeah but Noir and something like Phantom does too and don't really pander to that audience.
