netflix fr killed ALL the jojo momentum. its wild

its not gonna click for you like that
I'm quite fond of space operas. Loved Banner/Crest of the Stars and Space Battleship Yamato 2199 both are some of my favorite series of all time so this is right in that wheelhouse.

Speaking of, this last episode with Rubinsky's son plotting was good. Man clearly hates his pops, barely let the call drop before he started mean mugging and talking shyt.

The most striking thing in this episode is the chasm between the Alliance and the Imperials. Reinhard has everything running like the smoothest of machines, meanwhile Yang is basically reduced to passing notes in class to try and save the people.

When say bad guy I'm speaking to the way the side he's working for is portrayed. He comes across to me as the ambitious guy rising up in the evil empire.

And you're really contrasting a moe cute girl show to military space chess between geniuses to make a point? That's like saying you didn't like Love Hina so Chainsaw Man ain't your speed.

Legit the way they released does not appeal anime fans who watch weekly or binge it. Cause obviously those who prefer weekly aint gonna like a batch of episodes coming at once. But at the same time those who want to binge it realize its gonna be released in 3 parts, so they gonna wait.

This aint even Netflix issue since Cyberpunk had everyone talking about it. And it was prob the biggest anime or one of the biggest when it released. Even did very well for Japan considering its an anime best on a WRPG. Hell Romantic Killer had a decent following given that it is a small show.

Given how big Jojo is, the fact people are barely talking about it is a big indicator how much Netflix fukked this up. Regardless if this season was a step down or not for it.

Jojo is releasing this shyt like AOT. Can’t believe Stone Ocean came out a whole year ago. At least it wasn’t like AOT and we got Part 2 and 3 close to each other.

This shyt with Rubinsky's son is GOOD. Just the slight bit of respect he showed for Julian had him sideways as fukk :scust:

and yeah.... Yang legit passing post-its across the galaxy lmao I didn't even think to put it like that. I think in this run, they may actually go in on showing what the actual resentment for Yang not stepping up to the plate. I knew they'd lean on his staff wishing for more out of him, but I didn't expect so much of a focus on what the average non-military affiliated civilian is like - wholly indifferent and more than ready to run with *any* narrative.

Imperial citizens are legit more decisive and direct because they felt their civil war far more clearly than the Alliance citizens did.

Yeah, the Alliance and Fezzani citizens are both annoying because of their complacency. They've had relatively easy lives and all the "trouble" has been kept at a distance so they're disconnected. Imperials used to be the same way living off the Dynasty propaganda but then shyt got real at home and they came out of it better than they went in. The Alliance had protests, an attempted coup but are essentially still running in place. By the time Reinhard brings them to reality, they might not have a chance to reform before being absorbed.

Rubinsky's son keeps me entertained though, creh is living the grimiest of lives. Smashing his Dad's side piece, plotting on his position and probably his life, manipulating a secret cult, and still pulling everyday good son duties. Man refuses to lose. :wow:
