Would you rather work for the Demon Slayer Corps or the Special Division under Makima :jbhmm:

not gonna get into JJK yet:mjgrin:
Atleast i know Makima can clap back as long as i can stall for time :hubie: she has Gojo level clout where the opps whole plan was based on her not being around to save them.

Himeno was offering up the cheeks :ehh: Makima footing the bill at restaurants, Aki cooking brunch for the bros :blessed:

Demon Slayer Corps just gonna send that Worldstar bird to record and report when you get killed :unimpressed: fukk them now that i really think about it

For anime to come out this year, if only recommending S1/premieres I would say the following. (I put the genres so you can eliminate the stuff you wouldn't be interested in):
  • Akabi Maid War (Action) - fukkery all around, but the writing is very very clever.
  • Blue Lock (Soccer & Battle Royal) - As far entertaining anime goes this is a must watch tho I am skeptical it can continue delivering.
  • Bocchi the Rock! (Slice of life Comedy & Music) - If you are a SoL fan this is a must watch and it is one of the better comedies as of late.
  • Chainsaw Man (Action) - I don't feel like I need to explain especially after the last episode and how everyone is excited.
  • Uncle from Another World - (Comedy & Isekai) - This a must watch comedy and the best in that category.
  • Mobile Suit from Gundam : The Witch From Mercury (Gundam) - Gundam gets a bad wrap from normie anime fans. But this show is terrific. Expecting a big twist soon.
  • Lycoris Recoil (Action & Slice of Life) - Pretty Fun show and good action. Tho the plot really doesn't start till like ep 6.
  • Spy x Family (Action & Slice of Life) - I feel like I don't need to explain this show given how big it is like CSM. But seeing the Shounen version of SoL is actually in some ways very refreshing compared to the typical Seninen ones.
  • Reincarnated as a Sword (Isekai & Action) - Give this show 3 episodes before deciding on it. It has great action and great writing especially with how Fran and the sword interact with other characters. If you are sick of the generic Iseaki formula like Uncle Isekai def give this one a shot.
  • Yakuza Guide to Babysitting (Slice of Life) - Super wholesome SoL. But character interactions here are great.
  • Ya Boy Kongming (Slice of Life and Music) - Easily one of the best new animes. Great characters, funny and lots of relatable scenes. Music is also more varied compared to most music anime.
  • My Dress up Darling (Romantic Comedy) - Great debut rom-com. One of the few of them where the male lead is actually good. The 4 leads in this show are pretty good. Suprisingly the lead girl is prob the worst of the 4.
  • Summertime Render (Drama, Suspense, Thriller) - One of my favorite new series. Has everything you want out of a great suspense/mystery anime. Easily a must watch.
  • Call of the Night (Slice of Life & Suspense) - This is one of the shows that you have to watch to understand the appeal of it. Very very chill show tho when the plot gets started it gets even better.
The first episode of uncle from another world :mjlol:

I’m not a laugh out loud kinda guy but the sega shyt gets me every time. :laff:

Seeing how Chainsaw Man finally caught up to the hype manga readers have been giving, I truly wonder how Mappa is gonna handle what's left of part 1.

They can easily tell the whole thing in 2 cours (plus a movie if they just want to really cash in on the IP) but if they rush it back for 2023 they gonna have to wait years for a potential season 2/3.

I guess they take their time and do a 12/16 episode stand alone season 2 to end Part 1 in 2024? I think that makes the most sense. Specially with JJK coming back in 2023 and starting Shibuya.

I think they could stretch it out some and get three seasons. There are two arcs i think could be stretched by filling in a few parts of the plot...

The Assassins arc introduces a ton of characters, so they could run a bit with that. Then the Gun Devil arc was pretty short, but I think there are a few things they could do to extend it (expand the first part mainly with Aki and Angel).

That doesn't leave room for a movie though, I admit.

I've got a question that anime heads might be able to answer how come delinquent manga gets adapted into live-action instead of anime? I guess I get that delinquent manga doesn't require animation, but some of my favorite stuff comes outta the genre and it never gets an anime adaptation.

I'm talking about stuff like Crows and Worst, Clover, and Holyland...Out too, though I prefer the others.

protaginist is STILL A fakkit after 10 episodes. No hidden power surges nothing straight trash all around.

i'm pissed i watched it for so long but now i'm in too deep to quit. I'll muster all my strenght to watch the next 2 episode but still :pacspit:

My nikka you spitting facts.

This shyt started out with so much potential, only for it to become a struggle finish down the stretch.

I feel like this is the Sonny Boy anime of the year for me. Something that looks dope at first, but is utter shyt once you watch it long enough.

Eh Sonny Boy was more of trying to be more complicated then it actually is and became boring.

Shinobi was the definition of a medicore show that wasn't bad enough to simply drop it early enough. Biggest issue is that the first half of the series is literally skippable until the summer break starts. Not to mention the bad writing where the good guys look like idiots to make the villians look good. The only moment that worked well was the mom killed by essentially her adopted daughter being mind controlled.

Uncle was the best part of the show to me. It feels like they had interns write this show out. This is by far the worst original I have seen.

Watching this Mob episode. Mob-kun has become the one thing that he feared most. When this is over how is he gonna live with this guilt :mjcry:

Yeah Sonny Boy was definitely trying too hard to be complicated for no reason.

The only reason I said Shinobi was the Sonny Boy for this season, is because it was something that started off with mad potential that kinda drew you in. After that it just takes its time flopping around trying to find itself. Meanwhile I'm bored as fukk with it.
