Does Jujutsu Kaisen get better? Im on chapter 40 of the manga and till now this seems generic and shallow as hell
Yeah. The Shibuya incident arc is dope because it has a bunch of fights.

The problem I have with JJK is the art can be really sloppy especially during battles, and the explanation of curse energy/curse techniques can get real confusing to me.

Oh man Nel. Did that character ever go anywhere?

My main complaint about Bleach is it keeps introducing new characters and the roster gets so big it can't be properly managed. The Vizard were such a cool idea for example that I also felt never went anywhere.

The Bleach cast is mostly a textbook example of Shonen escalation. So many cool characters and concepts that end up getting left behind due to the plot constantly having to escalate. Looking at Chad especially.

Lots of people got sidelined just so we could watch another Hitsugaya fight.

This is my first time watching the show.

Yeah I heard Chad gets no shine in the series before. I’m at the part he tried to fight this smiling dude and got blocked by some dude with an eye patch.

I heard about Chad being left behind a lot before I watched the show, so we’ll see what exactly happens.

I’m surprised the Vizards aren’t in the show like that anymore.

I mean they are in the show but they aren't really a big deal. It's like in DBZ going SSJ doesn't mean so much when SSJ2 happens. Their power up just gets left behind. The power they use is just one stop on Ichigo's progression to the next level and they get stuck there while he keeps going. At some point they're Piccolo status. At one point a powerful badass but later just another jobber.

I'm going to say it. I can understand people loving CSM and thinking it's a great anime. But so far nothing has drawn me in to caring about any of the characters, their motivation, or this big bad gun devil looming in the back drop. This shyt is all style and no substance Mid.

If you love it that's cool too.

Finished Misfit S1 shyt is entertaining af. Show got actually more interesting in the 2nd half. Took certain directions that I didn't expect. It aint a masterpiece, obviously. Lots of anime are honestly best binged but shows like this and Eminence in Shadow are entertaining as hell that they also work great as weeklys.

Granted two scenes I did like was:
  1. The first when he had to fight in the magic tournament, which was obviously a trap. But he did it because his new parents created a soft spot for him. Definitely wasn't expecting something out of this.
  2. The other is when his former teacher attacked his mom and fan club (idk what else to call them). Obviously we all knew he would come back and save them. But the anger he had from what she attempted to do was on another level cause he is usually level headed. He did the ultimate punishment on her by forcing her to become the thing she despises the most.

Also start watching Bleach. Daily watch for now so only 4 episodes. Setup is interesting. Tho to be frank if I already watched the anime I would of just read the manga to where TYBW starts. Going back to older anime can be an adjustment. Plus it's always faster to read then to watch. Still I wanted to watch the OG series at least once.

Imo the world is more interesting than the characters. Also Makima is a character that we barely know anything about her. You can easily tell something is def are up with her.

Denji and Power together are hilarious, but it's hard to take them seriously. Just based off the anime Aki is the one wildcard imo.

Appreciate you @-ing me because some nikkas, that shall remain nameless, can't seem to answer questions without spoiling shyt. :snoop:

As far as Nel and the other 2, I was on the fence at first. They're like the only source of comedic relief in the Hueco Mundo arc because everyone else and the setting is fairly serious, so I gave that a pass. After a while longer, you realize it gives Hollows more depth to the point where you have to consider some of them as more than just cardboard cutouts, generic bad guy inserts. Not all of them are about that life and they're just trying to get by with their world undergoing upheaval.

Nel and her crew's value continues to evolve, so stick with it. You'll see more dimensions thanks to that shift in perspective, you already mentioned it like a week ago with Grimmjow and him seeming like his own man.

BTW, that Rukia fight was legit. For the first time she seemed like a real Soul Reaper and her Zanpaktou made sense.

Funimation just charged me for another year. I thought they shut that down and moved everything to Crunchyroll.
The app is still running, but I wouldn't be surprise if they start sunsetting the app sometime in 2023 since they're not updating it frequently like they used to. Plus, once they start putting the One Piece dubs on Crunchyroll as they're almost caught up to the subs, that's when they'll possibly make an announcement.
