Tried watching lookism 1 episode I thought it would be a nice come up story. But him having two types of bodies randomly is so dumb. Tbh the setup of him fighting the bullies in the new school could be interesting.

But still animation was stiff. Dude just be granted the ability to fix his issues instead of working his ass off to do so. The latter would have been hella dope to watch. This concept happens more than enough in anime. Hating this much 2/8 episodes in might as well drop before it turns into another shinobi/platinum end type thing where I keep watching because I already watched the majority of the episodes and might as well finish it.

Plus might as well watch more bleach episodes instead of hate watching

Sohh from what I hear, Chainsaw man fans want the series to be re-done? I know they aggy because they were expecting it to be #1 but seriously??
No amount of remaking is causing the material to outdo BLEACH 1000 year GOAT war. It wasn't even adapted poorly and really grew on most people. It has one of the best studios out working on it! These melodramatic stans are acting like it's art is seven deadly sins status

They didn't even change the source material really (unlike promised neverland, tokyo ghoul etc. where they went offrails, or all those manwha anime where they skipped half the plot to cover as many chapters as possible).
This fanbase man and I liked chainsaw man

I'm going to say it. I can understand people loving CSM and thinking it's a great anime. But so far nothing has drawn me in to caring about any of the characters, their motivation, or this big bad gun devil looming in the back drop. This shyt is all style and no substance Mid.

If you love it that's cool too.

Episode 8 reeled me in when I was ready to write it off, but it didn't stick the landing. There's some "oh shyt" shock factor moments but it reeks to me like a anime/manga that's getting hyped by people who haven't been there done that and are either new to the genre or easily impressed for whatever reason.

I felt this way about AoT 10 years ago too, a cool "introductory" anime but there's nothing here for dudes whose seen countless shows over the years.

Yeah, some of the more diehard fans want the adaptation to take a different angle on some scenes and introductions but like.... a lot of the pop chainsaw man got in the manga was from how you can present things that format. I think there's a page where an opp legit springs up and legit cuts *through* where a panel typically is. There's other parts where the art carries everything and there's space to let it breath at the same time.

Like I get it, cool, but a lot of that's been done before and especially on the screen.

I'm not even trying to shoot at CSM like that. Its aite and definitely has its moments - but its just not that deep or layered. And you reallllly can't blame the studio either because they got one of the best running things. Its fine to want more out of it but after a certain point you're telling animators to squeeze juice out of a rock.

Funimation just charged me for another year. I thought they shut that down and moved everything to Crunchyroll.

They'll probably keep it up for a year or two to charge inattentive stragglers, or at least until they figure out how to transfer purchased digital content to Crunchy.

Last I checked, if you purchased a blu ray and redeemed a digital code you're unable to access it unless you use Funimation.

If you grew up with shyt like Gantz and Claymore, AoT really ain't anything new outside of the Titans as a type of bizarre adversary and the maneuver gear.

shyt, since we're talking adaptations - AoT's animation was so far ahead of the manga's art at the time that its actually ridiculous and unfair to other projects who deserved better from the start.
