Essential What Anime are you currently watching?

I'm over halfway done with Psycho Pass season 1. Note sure how I feel about this....I like the theme and the idea of the show (It reminds me of GITS SAC), but the characters seem a bit bland to me.

I'm not mad at it. Hopefully the animation and production reflect the delays. Although with these four parts, I bet a lot of anime onlies have given up and read the manga.

On a more serious point given what Mappa is working on this year.

• Cooking Iseaki
• AoT
• Hells Paradise
• JJK S2

At some point of the 4 major projects something was going to suffer. Honestly to me (full speculation on my part) it sounds like AoT needed a full on delay into late '23 or '24, but executive heads got in the way of that.

I will say my preference in experience of a story has changed from only watch the anime to read the source first then further down the line watch the anime. It definitely enriches the anime if you’ve read the source first.

Example if I hadn’t read the source for Spy Classroom the anime is terrible. Having read the source I can appreciate the anime more because I know what and why they’re skipping stuff so that isn’t ruining my experience.
