I was not familiar with the manga, at all. Always great when a random show comes out the blue and it becomes one of your favorites.

Easily one of the most beautiful works of animation I've ever seen. The direction was immaculate.

The original show was ok at best. I watched the first episode of the new version and it seemed to cover stuff from the original and the art style got worse. It was a downgrade.

I think I was going back between Demon Lord Retry & Demon Lord Retry R.

watching them both initially simultaneously, and was confused on the slight variations.

Thats when I saw there were 2 different seasons. shyt low key confusing

Orb has been consistent flames, and I barely see it mentioned because there's so much other fire to watch. It's too much to keep up with these past few seasons...the backlog is getting CRAZY for me!

Yeah, each season has had a couple of really high quality shows. I've been enjoying taking my time with the backlog tbh.

For the past year, it's been a great run. Tho you know old heads would complain new anime is shyt . Still too much anime def gets made but the quality at the top has really been having a great run.

In terms of top-notch adaptations would put Frieren, Monogatari & Dandadan at the top. If you told me back when CSM aired that when Dandadan would surpass CSM in anime popularity, I would never have believed you. Hell I didn't think they could do the Dandadan manga justice, but the cinematography is so good, which is why I put it at the same level as Frieren & Monogatari.
