Hopefully I can start Jujitsu Kaisen season 2 over the Christmas period now that I’ve signed up to Crunchyroll.

How we rating these anime’s though brehs before I give them a chance…

Spy Family
My Hero Academia
The Rising of the Shield Hero
Hells Paradise

If you're not some insufferable ass nikka you'll enjoy everything on that list except for The Rising of the Shield Hero, which isn't bad, just doesn't belong with the rest of the group. It starts out good for the 1st season, but then nose dives after that. I'm caught up but overall its mid if I were to rank it. (5)

Everything else is just varying degrees of dope.

The 36 Chambers
  • As a manga reader, SxF is a series that only gets better the further you get into the series. Overall, it's an enjoyable SoL, although the world building is great. I will admit the SoL portion of the 2nd half of S1 can feel a struggle. But once you get to the boat arc, the series finds its rhythm and hasn't lost it yet.
  • MHA has a good start. But it loses its identity in what it is after S3. It is simply poor executed generic Shounen. If you haven't watched Demon Slayer or Black Clover, I would def recc those first since those are more generic Shounen with good execution
  • Skip Shield Hero because it falls off after 4 episodes. Turns into bigger :trash:the longer you continue. If you are looking for isekai it is quite varied.
    • Character Driven and Well Written - Bookworm
    • World building Driven - Overlord, Slime
    • Comedy - Konosuba, Emmience in Shadow, Uncle from Another World, No Longer Allowed from another world
  • Hells Paradise anime was decent. It didn't match the outstanding art from the manga, but it is a very solid series. If you like JJK you will like it.

I’ve seen Demon Slayer breh, I’ve seen all the classics too…was a anime head till about 2017/18 where I stopped fukking with it completely.

I used to be on here for the weekly drops of Kuroko & Chef Soma, good times :wow:

I’ve only just chosen to go back to anime last few weeks.

JJK might have the worst collection of heroes I've seen in a shounen. Not really connecting with any of the main characters

The Mahito arc is good but so far the show hasn't hooked me yet. I'll watch the entire first season before I decide if I should drop it

They really adapted this arc as a cour ender really well.

This episode really showcases how much Uryu means to Yae. He was the first push for her to gain her freedom. But man, her screaming die old hag just implies what she feels for her true family. She wants the freedom to choose to do what she wants. The issue with Yae in the present is that she doesn't know what to do with that freedom. Still, to see the light in her eyes when she says she wants to be free is where we see the Yae we know.

Connecting the past to the present, the idea of Uryu will always find Yae creates a special connection between the two. We see Yae joining the Amagami shrine, where we also see a young Yuna and Asahi. This is where she found happiness. Obviously, there are bits where we can see Yae's genius even as a kid compared to Yuna and Asahi. But for her, she has found her happiness.

Gotta to love how in touch Yae is with her feelings. Just casually spending her time with Uryu, but is being respectful of his goals and not trying to push her feelings too strong. Though, she will try to spend as much time with him and be clingy. Though it is clear Asahi is getting jealous more and more.

I liked the Kakashi clone but the rest of them were forgettable. I don't think I've ever seen a shounen with such a blah main group which makes me wonder why people are so glowing about the series.

It's mostly for the fights and like CSM & Hells Paradise where it's darker atmosphere for a shounen. Obviously doesn't compare to something like Berserk, as one example. There is no power of friendship saving the day like in MHA and Fairy Tail.

To be real, Megumi is boring af. Nobara is ok, but overrated af by the fanbase.

Tbh the trio of Yuji, Gojo and Nanami is where I vibed with.

Great series would give it 9/10 as the writing, music and storytelling was phenomenal. Animation had its spots of looking rough but executed well in the big moments.

The ride for this series was great. We got our 3 pairs.God-damn, the farewell between Nau calling Senya and Tsukiko their best friends had me feeling emotional. Over the course of 20 episodes or so, these 3 have been side by side. As Nau returns to his land, you know their time together was one they cherished. It does seem that Senya's lifespan and Tsukiko's lifespan is not the same. It seems he can live up to 1000 years? Though he did have kids with Tsukiko, which is a nice thing as she lives on with them.

Honestly, Shinsuke and Shakuyaku live the slow life for the most part. Didn't get much focus on them, though, the big thing is how much Shinsuke has grown. His duty to stop Yazen's experiments because it threatens coexistence between Humans and Katawaras. For Tama and Jinka they came to the Mountain Goddess to pay their debt. Although Shinsuke back in part 1 felt powerless that he couldn't be offered. Perhaps taking care of Yazen and his experiments was a deal he made with the Mountain Goddess. Of course, with everything that happened, Mountain Goddess was happy to let it slide for now. It's happy to see these two live sides by side.

I am not sure if we will ever get another work in this same universe. As Senya, Jinka and Mudo's lifespans are quite long. Though, seeing these 3 together reminds you of the trio of Yazen, Douren and Jinun.
