Finished Fable. It was a lot better than I thought it was gonna be. I enjoyed how quirky those characters were written. I watched it dubbed so it was hilarious how they added a southern accent once they went into hiding.

Didn't realize his sister was gonna be a bad-ass like that. Thought she was just for pure support.

6.5/10

You should check out the 2 live action movies too. Those are pretty good.

I actually saw the movies first before I even knew it was an anime

But definitely a fun watch…. They kinda deviate from the anime so it wont feel like you watching the same thing bar for bar over again

I miss that theme. It's kinda wild how those guys (Creepy Nuts) have the anime theme formula down pat. The Mashle one and the current Call of the Night OP they did are all dope :wow:

One of the most interesting things is that the manga Call of the Night was inspired by this song from Creepy Nuts. I learned while I was reading the manga recently.

New Saga has the same premise as A Returner's Magic Should Be Special. Should be interesting but it seems like generic filth. That means I'll watch it all the way through.

After finishing the manga started watching Call of the Night S2 with episode 1.

I really like the vibrant directing, vibrant colors, music & animation for the anime. I always felt reading the manga that it felt very inspired by Monogatari & Shaft in general. Of course the director, Tomoyuki Itamura was a major director from Monogatari 2nd & Final Season so it all makes sense that it has that feel in directing style.

  • It seems here they combined chapters 47 and 53 for the first half of the episode. With them gaming at the beginning of the episodes rather than at the end like they did in chapter 47.
  • Then for the 2nd half of the episode they adapted chapters 51 + 52. Nice touch to use the end of chapter 51 at the end of the episode where chapter 52 is.
The anime will end at chapter 99 for certain. Probably looking at adapting 4 chapters per episode. Curious how they do it, it is a notable amount of ground to cover.

Gonna check this.

I was spacing out the episodes more than I do usually with anime, and I'm happy that I did. It was a great show!
