God damn Call of the Night S2 Episode 4 really did a great job diving into the mental issues & illness that Kabura had to deal with. :mjcry: Then to the directing highlights again which I will spoiler tag below.

This episode adapted chapters 59, 60, 61 & 62.

Some highlights of this episode in terms of how they adapted it.

  • The first was the old man frightening Nazuna and pressuring her to enter the room. I really liked this because playing it from just terror from Nazuna side is a great way to angle it. I guess they could still play to the comedy bit, but it's not a big deal here.
  • Love the comedy transitions when Ko & Nazuna were both wrong. Great directing to add a bit of humor to the episode.
  • As mentioned, the anime skipped telling us about Kabura's anxieties, but it showed them to us well. Even adding to the point when it became clear as day her friends didn't really care for her as a friend.
  • Then the end of the episode where we realize that everyone in Kabura's life thinks of her as a burden. The scene transitions to red and shows how she became a vampire in the most beautiful way possible.
This manga is truly getting such a wonderful adaptation.

Well it’s 24 episodes straight so it could be similar to JJK S1. That one really took its time too.

Episode 2 was more the episode that place me faith in this adaptation.
Yeah, I don't mean to come across as unhappy about it. I think it's doing a good job of endearing newcomers to the characters and keeping them cool and fun. Seeing how well they animated the lighter action scenes has me in "can't wait" mode for Jabber to raise hell.

Dr. Stone is such a great show to showcase science. I think I might try to see if my son would like it.
I be watching that show like I'm back in science class

Last episode of Takopi was wack. The whole thing with the camera being able to rewind one last time was an asspull basically. Then you also add how Shizuka & Marina bonding and becoming friends from remembering Takopi felt so forced and unnatural.

Props to the studio and staff they went hard af for this show.

Facts, you can't have a super short show and have a generic ending like that, there's no point in all the suspense leading up to it, you suppose to end in fukkery and dip out

Call of the Night has been killing it so far for S2. Really adapted Kabura's arc to perfection :wow::mjcry:

This episode adapted chapters 63-65 here.

  • Anime did a great job capturing Kabura's mental state when Haru told her she was pregnant. Knowing that she is not Haru's lover, but that doesn't stop the pain.
  • But then the shock when she sees Nazuna for the first time. Given how she looks just like Haru. As Nazuna mentions how much the situation sucks for Kabura. Really love is a cursed thing here.

Given how last episode went you would think since Kabura is a vampire, things are sure to be better. Which it has, but man a lot of pain for Kabura. She loves Haru, but it is clear that Haru doesn't love her the same way. Her being pregnant & getting married to a human kind of hits that home.

This episode did such a great job at diving into Kabura's psyche. Man, you see the dread in her eyes since the woman she loved just left her for a human. Adding to the point that she asked her to look after Nazuna. As Nazuna mentions, it is so fukked up when you really think about it. You see the moment that Kabura looks at Nazuna and she is just reminded of Haru. It shows her love for Haru, but at the same time the actual pain of it. As Ko mentions, though, she presses on to look after Nazuna for Haru. You can't help but look at the pain for Kabura.

The real question one may ask is, was becoming a vampire worth it for Kabura? I think yes, but her conversation with Ko is important. It is clear that the relationship between Haru was more one-sided. Her advice is to build a healthy relationship with Nazuna so he doesn't end up like her. As you can tell, she is very isolated and lonely.

Alongside of that we get the reveal that Nazuna is the first born vampire we know. Which definitely adds a wrinkle to everything we've gotten and were introduced to so far.

Notice that Sentai finally implemented a skip intro feature in Hidive when I was watching Flower and Asura

LoM ep 7. It's crazy how good this show looks in every scene.

A bunch of shyt happened but I'm the only one in here who is reading it and knows what the show doesn't explain :pachaha: I can't believe they legitimately made a show for readers-only, definitely the only one to get this much budget in anime history. Sucks cuz there would've been huge discussions and theories from everyone else if they could follow what's happening

Klein guarded Chains Gate by himself, they didn't explain how dangerous that was they just showed you how the sealed objects be going out of control behind the door, you gotta be a high level or get written permission to go in there to take a sealed object out, but also Nighthawks from higher up may randomly walk out. Someone just always has to be on guard duty there to report whatever happens to the Captain.

Finally went back to the Tarot Club meetings in the gray fog, since they learned you can digest potions faster by "pretending" to be whatever the title of the potion is, they're almost done digesting potion 9 even though it's only been a few months(it usually takes multiple years). This is why he took a part time job being a fortune teller. Audrey (and her dog  ) are Spectators so all they gotta do is be quiet and observe people to level up faster.

The "method acting" technique is kept secret by the higher ups cuz some of these job titles would literally make you become a serial killer or a con artist to level up, the world would become batshyt crazy very quickly. In episode 5 the Witch potion literally turned a guy into a woman :dame: permanently, everyone following that sequent path is a forced female at higher levels.

So Klein's looking for the formula for Sequence 8 potion: Clown....and just so happens to run into a sketchy guy who knows it at the library, who just so happens to lose control at that exact moment and gets killed, Klein uses his seer ability on the corpse to look into his mind and copy the formula.

That pregnant woman and the scammer guy who knocked her up is gonna come full circle at the end of the season. Klein isn't strong enough to use his Seer abilities to view their plans, but at the same moment he failed trying to do it, he finished digesting his Seer potion, not depending on fortune telling 100% was the last rule he needed to learn to fully become a seer.

Then he really starts questioning why the hell all of these crazy yet convenient encounters keep happening to him. From the isekai moment, to the Antigonus book being right next door to his very first mission hunting the kidnappers, to the clown formula falling into his lap
