It makes me wonder what we see in the upcoming episodes is why the og Nice killed himself at the start of the series. Feels like everything is starting to connect
Yea once they showed us heros killing each other is common there's no telling where this goes

MG got all the killers so Dragonboy might get someone outta here in his pov

Takopi was just fukking awful :laff: at least it went out with a happy ending and acknowledging the stupidity of Takopi and hoq moronic his efforts of making these poor kids were :heh:

Animation was stellar though, hats off to the studio crew.

It's not perfect for sure, but...

Shizuka finding a reason to live is huge. That shift from passive suffering to an active desire to survive, even thrive, is powerful in a setting that often feels nihilistic.

Marina’s arc as well about not falling into the generational trap of a trauma cycle from her manipulative, image-obsessed mother. She wants to not be her mother, and that intention alone gives her more nuance than a flat “bully” archetype.

And Naoki? His realization that even if you love someone, they can be bad for you and that you’re allowed to walk away. He starts off in the background, but he’s the heart. His friendships, especially the ones that form after he breaks free of his toxic attachment, show a glimmer of hope for his own situation.
I feel this would have more weight if all three kids didn't need this dumb ass alien octopus to die and magically imprint the important lessons all three kids needed to get past their shytty parents :heh:

Only reason Marina doesn't stab Shizuka was because she saw a drawing of Takopi and both felt emotional and a "secret bond" with each other.

That takes all the power out of it, imo. I do at least appreciate they went for a happy ending and didn't continue the hilariously try hard shyt they did for the past 5 episodes :bryan:

:birdman: That's a life lesson Takopi teaches-pi. Sunshine and Rainbows-pi are not a healthy way of stopping Abuse-pi.

Ne Zha 2 was crazy :whoo: that was a full ass movie, every scrap that could've happened went down

Inuyashiki did it better, no lessons were learned, aliens just made a mistake drunk driving and it played out for us to see

Takopi didn't need to force a roses and bubbles ending like that

But the only way the learn the lesson is by the sunshine and rainbows octopus killing himself and using magic alien powers-pi to make them "remember"-pi :bryan:

My Dress-up Darling Season 2: Continues to be a very strong series. Both leads are very likable, and their friends are a strong support system... its clear they want Marin & Gojo to be a pair... Good thing they never will know about the Love Hotel.

Nyaight of the Living Cat: Still a stupid, silly take on the Zombie Outbreak. The Cat Memes are on point, just feel sorry for :laff: Kunagi; guy is that "strong man, but likes cute things" trope, and it breaks his fukking heart he can't pet a cat anymore.

Anyone got that new Demon Slayer movie in proper quality? :lupe:
If you want that you're going to have to:

  • See the movie in the theaters next month.
  • Wait until the movie Blu-rays go on sale in Japan and someone will rip them with fansubs.
  • Wait until it hits streaming services.

@LordDeathwatch @T-K-G @storyteller This is one to definitely keep your eyes.

It's an anime based on Rakugo, so it is a performing arts anime, but it plays out similar to that of a grounded Solo Sports anime. It's imo the best series running in Weekly Shounen Sunday, but writing-wise it feels better than something you would get from a Shounen series. Manga really has great build up and really executes it well with it too.

Not sure about the studio, but the director worked on Summertime Render, Komi & Meido-sama. So he seems good from the directing aspect. Though I do worry with him working on Witch Hat Atelier, which comes out next year too.

The VA selection for the trio seems on point.

Dr. Stone is such a great show to showcase science. I think I might try to see if my son would like it.

one day I’m going to go back and continue to watch it.

I dropped off somewhere in S2. it was a combination of it started to lose me a little bit and then it was on around the same time there were some other shows that really captured my attention

But I keep seeing folk race about it.
Maybe next time we have a weaker season, I may add it as a supplement. This or Kingdom which I can say the same for all the above

Dr. Stone is cool, but even if the anime of Kingdom is a bit censored compared to the manga. Kingdom is much much better than Dr. Stone. To me, Dr. Stone is a series that is more interesting in concept than execution if that makes sense.

But yeah next season the only ones that really feel anticipated are Spy x Family Season 3 (since it will be covering Loid's backstory & the Red Circus arc this season) & Gachiakuta continuing. I mean there is the final season of MHA & OPM S3. But the former I am kind of just watching it because I am caught up and haven't read the manga, and the latter looks like a train wreck even compared to S2.

Although Wandance has me curious especially if the performance can be at least as good as the ones for Medalist.

Hatakeyama is definitely plotting shytting. It is clear that Kiichi is killing for his own reasons, but if this really was a concern for Hatakeyama, he would have taken care of it naturally like Jinya said. His reason for not having the other demon under him take care of it felt like bull crap. Even so, he also has Kiichi out to target Jinya.

The conversations in this episode between Ofuu & Jinya really has shown the growth and the potential of growth for him. As the weakness in him is the bonds he formed. Whatever Hatakeyama is planning is going to have an effect on so many people, and wanting to make the right decision is important.

Kiichi & Jinya's fight is interesting. For Kiichi is one who desires strength and to reach those heights. He is mind is set in what he wants to accomplish. As mentioned, Jinya has a lot going on. He has made connections with people, lost some of them & now has a daughter. This is what Kiichi calls excess. These are things that would get in the way of becoming stronger. Kiichi does win, but Jinya offers enough of a challenge that Jinya isn't killed. Of course it makes sense from Kiichi's perspective. If someone who has excess can give him a challenge then clearly he has potential to grow. In the future, Jinya could offer an even bigger challenge, which would aid in Kiichi's pursuit of strength.

Seeing Jinya & Kiichi in the future is interesting. For Kiichi, he had to adjust to the times, but he can find enjoyment still. Which is cool. I love Jinya's answer that the excess wasn't meaningless. So while his sword doesn't cut through everything, the connections he has built are vital. Also, Kaoru's joke feels like not an actual joke. Curious if we get to see when she and Jinya first meet.
