It's what made the most sense breh.

Picking CSM season 2 (after Reze film) would've meant JJK season 3 would've aired in late 2027 and that's waay too long for a series that already finished and has two long ass arcs left to adapt before finishing.

JJK is Mappa's cash cow right now, you gotta remember the studio went all in for CSM S1 and it did not live up to their expectations so switching priorities to JJK (their biggest IP) was the obvious thing to do.

Now, airing Culling Games in January is fukking insane, they are gonna get a bunch of people quitting again for sure :mjlol: but at least they did the common sense thing and divided the CG in two cours.

And yeah, this first cour is gonna dope as fukk. The second one....we'll see if Mappa can work some magic for it :pachaha:

Tbh much like S2, the first cour should be well done and consistent. The real question is the 2nd cour and how long is the split?

I felt like in terms of simple choreography, S2 wasn't as consistent as S1 & JJK 0. Granted, not having Seong-Hu Park had an effect. The fights they really focused on was easily the best for the anime so far. The thing is, unlike with Shibuya, CG is where Gege started getting lazy. How are they going to handle the exposition? They need to cut it down; otherwise, pacing will be awful. For the 2nd cour they need to go full Solo Leveling because it's just the fights, and that is what people are here for.

My opinion of the manga of Culling Games is basically, in and of itself, it is fine. Its biggest issue in storytelling is that it failed leading up to the final arc, where Gege essentially got lazy and went on autopilot. Especially after the big fight.

Supposedly S2 will cover the rest of CSM Pt. 1. That shyt might not be coming until 2027 at the earliest. Since their director has both Wistoria and Black Clover before CSM. Hell, maybe not until 2028, depending on how much Black Clover is covering.

This episode finished volume 16 by adapting chapters 79 and 80. Pretty well adapted. A few lines of Kou were cut, but they were redundant. So I don't mind.

Learning a bit about the relationship the shrines and the exorcists have. Basically the equivalent of guilds and adventurers for fantasy series. Though the significant drop is your wish. For Kunishige, he had a wish in his heart, but he never mentioned it. Yet Tsukasa granted that wish for him, but he mentions that he didn't want him dead. So these wishes can be very manipulative. Well, we know Tsukasa already did that with Mitsuba earlier in this series.

Though it is nice to get some more focus on Teru. He tried to do things the right way, but, as we can see, things don't turn out well for him. I've got to say it is good to see him express his frustrations. He seems perfect on the outside, but he has very real issues.Nene is late to the party with realizing that the kid was Tsukasa as a kid. There appears to be a connection with the Red House and the sacrifices of that village. Well, at least Nene made it back out.

We are always gonna disagree on this, I really liked that each fight in Shibuya had it's own style and atmosphere. And when you watch the finished product (the Blue Ray version) of it, it's truly amazing. Mahoraga vs Sukuna was already dope in anime form but you could tell it was unfinished....well, the finished product is one of the best animated fights you'll see.

And yeah, there's lots of challenges for part 2 of the arc. But at the very least, the anime adaption will fix the most obvious ones (unnecesary fights and over complicating the plot for no reason).

Some comments are mentioning the new director went for a more cinematic approach compared to when Park did it. Granted, S1 was cinematic too, but made it more than S1.

Gachiakuta adaptation has been very solid. But man, thank God this has 24 episodes; otherwise, the pacing is too slow. I do think it could benefit from adapting 4-5 chapters on average rather than 3-4 since the manga's pacing is on the slower side. Still not bad pacing since it isn't Undead Unluck pacing, which was 2.2 chapters per episode which was horrific.

Hotel InHuman had another solid humane ep

This is a show that definitely feels “monster of the week” esque.

But I like how it feels fresh every week and we see these sides of the main 2 characters

something about how they execute hits better that than that other beautful show
