I read the manga after season one aired....I was :gucci: :francis: at how troupy it became the more the story went along. There should be some cool fights down the line in the anime but it was kinda like dark fantasy Kaiju n.8 tbh. Nothing horrible and it has a proper ending (can't say it went to shyt or anything close) but you can tell the author or her editor decided to play it safe in the last 2 arcs or so and the ceiling of the story became pretty low.

I'll watch this season but if it already feels like a bunch of troupes...oh boy :pachaha:
When I read the end of Hell's Paradise, it gave me Bleach flashbacks. Where it felt like the mangaka had set up WAY more to happen, but then cut it hella short. There were a couple of developments in the final third of the story that had me expecting way more fights and plot development, but they all got rushed past. To this day, I think Hell's Paradise coulda been THE ONE out of the dark trio, and unfortunately came up way short...still ended better than JJK though

I wonder how this is going to affect the industry because I assume this will impact the bluray/dvd side of things. Plus, I hope it doesn't lead to a future where there's more fragmentation for which studios will stream.

It's tough for me because even though I recognize that Jigo's ending Is technically better than JJK (like I said, it's a proper ending), I'll still take the journey and the swings Kaisen went for over Jigo's story. Like, I still re read some chapters of JJK knowing full well how hilariously went off the rails, specially the last arc. Arguing and talking about JJK is always fun, Jigo ends up being completely forgettable.

I never got into Bleach (both the anime and the manga never clicked for me) but I think that's what Bleach fans feel about the series as well. For all the misses, the hits are completely worth it and you'll take it over similar series that decided to play it safe but had a better ending.

One would guess Mappa is gonna get 1 or 2 out of Kagurabachi, Ichi the Witch and one of those exorcism series that it seems is doing very well for WSJ.

But to be honest, I'm more interested in which big project both Ufotable and Bones are gonna take now that Demon Slayer is a movie franchise (Ufotable) and MHA (Bones) has ended.

I lean toward Hell's Paradise, but I get what you mean. HP never hit the peaks that Shibuya or some other moments did. But I also feel like JJK had really hype moments, then undercut them. Basically, "here's a crazy new power....and, now he's dead anyway" type stuff. So, I'm kinda the opposite of you in that respect. I'm happy to re-read HP from start to finish because it's only like 130 chapters, and the hype moments are all building to the payoffs in the final fight. Whereas, I can't get hype reading a hype moment in JJK when I feel like it's hype in the moment that will be worthless in the near future.

Ironically, I think Bleach ruined JJK a bit for me. Because, JJK always felt like a new coat of paint on a lot of concepts that Bleach laid out (easiest example being Domain Expansion = Bankai). Bleach did kinda dump a lot of characters and their upgrades fast too (my hispanic brethren Chad got done dirty).

I also just have weird preferences, I think. The further from it I get, the more I appreciate Claymore's ending and I think D. Gray Man's first half is some of the mosst underrated shonen action from my younger days.

The animation in this latest episode of JJK was meh. Maki vs that lower Zenin unit shouldve been done way better. Lots of still images with blood splatter effects. People killed OPM S3 for the same type of BS.

Edit:it’s crazy how easily impressed some people are.
