Well you gotta watch the games in order to understand them.

Having 10 Offensive rebounds, but at the same time you're shooting 3/12, from the floor. :comeon:

what about kobe best individual years?
he still got his team into the playoffs/close to the playoffs in a stacked west.

Not his fault the team was trash. He was up 3-1 on a very good Suns squad until they realized all they had to do is let Kobe do whatever he wanted and force others to make plays. None of them did

Putting up stats during portions of the game that don't matter i.e. garbage time or blowout or on bad teams (see Kevin Love in Minny, Corey Maggette)

My bad thought u was the guy that name those players. So u telling me last year when harden lead his team to a top 2 or 3 seed in west he was putting up empty stats but when kobe was avg like 34 on a team that was a 8th seed or didnt make the playoffs it wasn't empty stats :patrice:

Stats that have no impact on the outcome of the game.

An example of what I would define as empty stats is last season during a game the Celtics had against Charlotte, it was a blowout and Stevens emptied his bench, James Young came in and got hot and scored 13 in the 4th quarter. However the game was already decided and his scoring had pretty much no impact. That is what I would define as empty numbers.

I don't see how Cousins & Love were putting up empty stats. Yes their teams weren't good but they weren't getting blown out every night either. Cousins was putting up 27/12 while the Kings on average were outscored by 2-3 points every game, how does that have no impact on the outcome of games if they're close? It's not like he was playing for Philly or the Lakers who were outscored by double digits nightly.

ok i made a thread about this one player and how his best years was putting up great stats on a bad team and nobody cared and some even said he should have won mvp. Do the empty stats only apply to certain players?

Yes. People will ignore it if it's a player they like.

I.e. people on here were raving about the huge numbers Giannis Antetokounmpo was putting up this season when he was playing PG yet Cousins gets called an "empty stats" player despite the fact that their teams have the same record
