season with Rapporport was a drop in quality but the final season I thought was very strong and it finished with a great finale

Spartacus: Blood and Sand

I saw the pilot, then I dismissed it as a bad 300 ripoff with worse special effects.
Weeks later I started reading online that it was actually good. I can't remember if I had episodes building up on my DVR, or if I watched them on Netflix, but by they time I got to the end of the first season it was one of my favorite shows.

I didnt watch Spartacus till like 2014-15
