I'm beating a dead horse here but I REALLY hate when people are trying to improve their looks and someone goes along and says "oh you're fine the way you are, dont' change"

like shut the fukk up ! Stop lying to that kid! How are you going to tell him/her to his/her face that they are fine the way there

You think you know that person better than they do! You don't know what that person has been through. And pretending to be nice doesn't help. It's so disingenuous because you know that person struggles and you know you would never want to look like that person/date that person.

If you are attractive, you get the benefit of the doubt if you do something "creepy" or socially awkward or even something suspicious in general. If you are attractive, people take you much more seriously as a person than they do if you are ugly. You might get jealousy, but most would rather be envied than constantly disrespected.

You never have to worry about not being sexually desired, so that's one less thing you get stressed out about. Being attractive has literally been proven to make others view you as kinder - in real life - after meeting you.

We really need to encourage making everyone care a bit about their looks. Trying to say "looks don't matter, it's what matters on the inside" is 90% LIES.
