You don't even know what I look like.Soo you are fine? Can i dine you?![]()

How far back can you trace your family tree?
One of my best friends is mixed. I had no idea what she was mixed with until like 3 months into our friendship when she told someone else. I never asked b/c I really don't care.
on the real, i'm surprised nikkas are this emboldened to ask this still.
usually light-brites/mixed chicks get this question so often, i always assumed it was a turn off for them. my past two exes were mixed and light-skinned () and i never asked this until i had already gotten with them. a lot of mixed chicks seems to go through a tragic mulatto phase so its best to just not even touch the topic... lest the think you're "fetishizing" their features.
if she looks good, she looks good![]()
Most people think I am Ethiopian .
I don't think it's c00nish...I personally believe we shouldn't be so sensitive and look for reasons to be upset.
I'm from Jersey City NJ it's a very diverse city with a multitude of different cultures so usually if I asked a young lady is she mixed then she usually was . It's not that serious to me but then again I'm not a black woman and can't quite see things from her perspective

I'm not....
She called herself Becky and I just wanted to know her heritage

I can see where it's a little c00nish. Some people may actually think they're complimenting you by asking you that ( which in it self means there is something wrong with them.) It surely Is a disrespectful first question to ask.
I don't ask because I got tortured as a kid when asked about some of my features. My grandmother used to let my hair grow out and it was apparently fascinating to her friends and other family members to see a black kid with with curly hair, defined eyebrows, long eyelashes with "china" eyes as they'd say back then in Charlotte.
The constant "Stella, he got them pretty white features like you." statements got tiring after awhile. My experiences would have me lean towards the shyt being c00nish tbh.

...i dont know why anyone would think im anything other than a plain ol ordinary black person...Why the fukk would that be anyone's first question?I'm glad I'm not the only one. The worst is when they ask and then they try to ask you the same question 3 or 4 other ways as if they are trying to decipher the truth.
Him: You mix?
Me: No
Him: You sure?
Me: Yes
Him: You mixed with White?
Me: No
Him: Hispanic?
Me: I said no.
Him: You sure?
Me:
Him: You are. You just don't know it.![]()
. nikkas, is color struck like that out here? Next time just say yeah, I'm mixed with black and blacker.
