I'm been in and around the military since 1999. I was only in the Navy for 3.5 years. I was a Air Civilian a few years ago, for a few years. Been a contractor for the Army for about 10 years. So I have I have a pretty good barometer of each. I'd just like to find out your experiences and thoughts.
Army:
I'd say they're the most Grimy and Degenerate of all the Branches pound for pound. They accept the lowest test scores and it shows. Haven't really worked with the Army since 2012, but when I did it was crazy. I use to shoot ball and hangout with them. Became very cool with 2 soldiers. One from Chicago, other from Memphis. Went to the guy from Chicago bachelor party. Whole battalion went down on these trashy hood strippers. He ended up getting r*pe charge in Va. That's the last I heard of him. My boy from Memphis was wild. I remember him sneaking an underage Asian girl on base in his trunk. Wild boy...
Air Force:
By far the most laid back. A lot of gamers and introverts. Almost has a preppy feeling. The officers are really cool and you don't hear much cursing. A lot of dead end jobs in the Air Force too. Things arent frantic as in the other branches. Seems to be a few very smart and a few hard workers doing the majority of the work, everyone else just coasting. I became an Air Force Civilian in 2018. I could tell that theyve gotten rid of most of the hood type people. There still a few hood dudes in the Air Force, but most aren't grimey, just good boys from the hood. I suggest the Air Force to a lot of young people that's not ready to excel in a valuable College degree program.
Navy:
I'd say the Navy is the most well rounded. A lot of smart people and good bit of degenerates. It's pretty a mixture of the Army and Air Force. Navy has the best training and jobs. From IT to Nuclear programs. But being out to Sea changes us all in a bad way somehow. We love Drinking, Cursing and Tricking. I had a lot of fights, people were stealing, gambling. Prostituiton on ship. I was on a Aircraft carrier, 5000+ people. It was like a little city, underworld and all. This was the early 2000 There was so many Goons and Criminals. I use to think Louisiana was the grimiest State by far, until I started hanging with guys from Jersey. I was working with the Navy earlier this year. Seems theyve gotten rid of most of the street dudes too.
Marines:
Basically high level, high strung, polished Soldiers with more discipline.
The military isn't what it was 20 years ago. They've gotten rid of the hood and fun too. Most bases are pretty dry now. Use to be military guys who DJ on the side, they would keep the base clubs and base happy hours jumping. There were cooks that would always have cookouts and grill. All of those cool OG from the 80s and 90s military are gone. Back in the day they would let civilians on base to come party. 9/11 changed that. All and all the military is still a good place to jump start your career. I'd made lifetime friends working with them. Great place to work as a contractor or civilian. Military people are great, ready to help anyone. A lot of them are lonely and you since some sadness to but they're great people. They can barely know you and help you move or give you the shirt off their backs.
