What are your Thoughts and Experiences with the Different Branches of Military: Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines?

AF - whenever we went TAD to an AF base, the brothers were always cool. When we went to Korea (I forget which base) we chopped it up with a couple at the e-club and they invited us to their cookout the next day. They showed mad love, introduced us to the AF chicks, and we pretty much hung with them the whole 6 weeks we were there. The cacs the other hand, my partner end up knocking out some AF white boy for talking slick. His buddy responded by demanding my homeboy’s ID card so he could report him I was stationed at Andrews my last 3 years and that was a good time. AF chicks galore

Navy - Only a few Navy cats I met I rocked with on a regular basis. A lot of them had terrible social skills.

Army - no interaction with them while I was in but I’m a contractor dealing with them on a daily basis now. Enlisted soldiers seem to be pretty stupid and lack spatial awareness. Very unsafe at times to work with them. The officers are cool tho. Just met a black female captain 2 weeks ago. She was cool as shyt and just one of the nicest people I’ve ever met.

Marines - white boys earn the title and think they’re Superman. Seen a whole lot of them get their ass whooped down in Tiajuan when I was stationed at Miramar. A lot grunts ain’t shyt without a weapon in their hands. They all seemed to think we were soft because we were Air Wing. Quite a few found out in 29 Palms how wrong they were about that. As far as women, it seemed like they were either fine as hell or ugly as shyt with not much in between.

I'd never advise someone to join the military for patriotic reasons, but to jumpoff start your career, get a Top Secret Clearance and college money, for only 4 years of work. It's not a horrible deal. There's a lot of more benefits too.

True. At least from the Medical side of the house, anytime after a 3 or 4 day weekend you could bet money someone is walking into sick call with a broken nose, missing teeth, etc.

Alot of those dudes think because they took a MCMAP class, they are ready to beat down anyone.

I've stayed in an active war zone and interacted with some of the Army/Marine brehs/cacs that stayed behind after the US pulled out. All I've gotta say is, if you're an Army/Marine cac and the Peshmerga and civilians have to come and save you because your SA is horrendous, then maybe you shouldn't be there.

Although...there's $225-250k tax free on the table for working in Ukraine for a year ; maybe that's why they did it.

Yep, specifically MDG and FSS

I’ve been in joint/SOF for about 3 years now (work w USSF, USAF, USA, USN, USMC), biggest difference I see is the rigidity of rules and oversight from the junior E tier… AF is a bit more hands-off than the others, Army is probably the most up your ass about everything followed closely by the marines.

Every service has their duds/mouth breathers, that said the army or navy cats that are real dirtbags are on another level… but to be honest most of the shyt heads come from the guard than anything else.
