we get by.
we count our pennies.
we are comfortable.

she makes more than me.
if i had her salary we would be living large by our standards...i'm working on it.

That's rough. I take it you two live in an outer borough?

Well, I made about $67k last year and this year it's going to be around $75k. My wife made about $60k this year. She could make a lot more, but it would take her doing some things that she really don't want to do. So, for me if I made a cool $100k, that would be perfect. And if I could transfer on my job I could make $100k with overtime. We could do a lot better. Most of our money is going towards bills and we just trying to pay that off. If we didn't have so many bills we would be a lot better off. It's a process but we working on it.

Man fukk that...if im making less than 6 figures by the time i hit 30 then ill consider myself a failure (im 23 now).

Comfortable to me is making at least 20K a week....but ill settle for 10K a week to begin with. This isnt some fantasy to me because i grew up with motherfukkers making 80K a month at 21 just off affiliate marketing.

My best friend's dad just bought a 20 million dollar home in chateu elan....their last house was a 12 million dollar house in chateu elan..

my little sisters god father owns 500 acres in tampa that he uses strictly for hunting. thats on top of his plane and his fishing boat

So all my life ive been fortunate to be surrounded by wealth, and ive learned a lot from them. if you cant make 100k a year in america at some point in your life, then your doing it wrong

but thats just me

75 to 85K net with no debt or no kids plus 50k in savings for me to feel comfortable. But I guess for full comfort I would need to generate income to that extant outside of a salary which means passive income of min 75k coming in from various investments (REITs, bonds, Dividends, etc) and/or active income (side business) all the way until I was fully vested. Key would be no debt, high savings, and money making its own money though. Salaries vanish in hard times.
